SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL 02 APRIL 2022.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached
the beach at 6-16 a.m.
The streetlights turned off as they passed beneath them.
It has been a cold night.
Roadside grass was frosty.
As they arrived there was a distant discussion at the water's edge.

They headed south.
Bad weather that had crossed the bay was once more heading down the river.

A line of low cloud waited to spoil the sunrise.

The North had cloud of its own.

Beach Buoy chatted to one of the 7 a m. club
Mari the big friendly poodle was there.
Beach Buoy twiddled the big dogs ears as they chatted about dolphins, work life and beach life too.
"Bye."
"Bye."
The 7 a.m. club headed north towards an approaching but still distant Distant Wave Lady.

The sun began to rise making the clouds look like guilt edged invitation cards to a brighter day.
As the sun rose the Skylarks burst into song.
Five or six of the birds sang like a choir.

They headed to
Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
They stayed a while and watched the sky, they watched the sea too.
"See you mate."
They returned to the beach.
They ended up heading south on the dune edge.

The beach to the north was quiet.

They  paused at the dip in the dune sit and think spot.

They checked on North Gare Beach.
A funloving dog ran the length of the Blue Lagoon.

Columns to the west.

There seemed to be a wonderful mist beyond South Gare.
They headed back a few steps to a sheltered spot directly above Sand Martin Corner.
Coffee time.

They sat in the little suntrap.
They could have stayed all day.
Eventually they headed back.

Beach Buoy found a perfect brick for Stubborn Dog Stack.

Once the brick was added they returned to the beach.

They walked the water's edge.
It looked like The Headland was in for some inclement weather?

An eye of a storm watched from the horizon.

A man marched south, perhaps looking for a lost umbrella?

An imagined Post Card from Seaton Carew.

I am having a lovely time,

So here's a post card all in rhyme,
I walked the beach, went to the cafe,
The owner there is quite a laugh,
I'm having fun, will be back soon,
Just booked another week in June.

The traveling funfair.

 It rained.
The van has wax on wax.

BEACH BUOY.
