14 APRIL 2022, SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy woke at 4-43 a.m.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off for the beach at that time of the morning, at this time of year , when the streetlights start to switch off as daylight arrives.

A good while back, a large section of the golf club fence was blown down.

The opening just made running to the sea even  more enticing.

The neatly cut grass that led to sandy dunes, the beach and the sea beyond.

They reached the beach car park

 (By road.)

at

5-49 a.m.

The car park was deserted, as was the beach.

It was mild.

There was hardly a breath of wind.

They headed for the sea

Their sea for now.

The pre-sunrise sea reflected an orange slice of light as if a furnace door had been left ajar.

He stood at the water's edge.

He looked left to the north.

He looked right to the south.

They were completely alone, together.

The shades of orange changed as the sun tried to make its mind up on what to do next.

The sun rose, but it began to put its head into a jumper before its feet were out of bed.

It headed into the cloud wardrobe to see what else there was to wear.

The light was gorgeous, as was the birdsong from the dunes

Beach Buoy didn't recognise the sound.

It wasn't a Skylark for sure, a different type of song completely.

Even the Sea Serpent came up to listen.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the dunes as if the song was calling them.

It was the call of Stubborn Dog that drove them.

It always will.

Beach Buoy added some stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

"Morning Mate."

He watched The Sea Serpent.

He watched as the 7 a.m. club approached from the north.

"See you mate."

They went and sat at the dune edge nearby for coffee, Skylarks and Sea Serpent.

The coffee stop.

The waited until the 7 a.m. club had passed back heading north.

They dropped down onto the beach.

The 7 a.m. club head off.

Four Geese headed inland, just north of Sand Martin Corner.

Beach Buoy watched as Sand Martins swooped.

There was half a dozen or so.

Some were making a start on their burrows.

The North Gare Pier looked grand.

The beach looked to be theirs once more ?

Beach Buoy stood and watched the recent arrivals.

They are so quick!

The Sea Serpent.

Beach Buoy found a screw bottle top.

Mr.Gunn/Nunn walked the strand-line, heading south.

Distant waves were shared.

Dog walkers headed south as a Murder of Crows flew north, landing on the strand-line.
