SEATON SANDS 30 APRIL 2019.

Beach Buoy and a wet bag of cement aka Stubborn Dog parked at 6-30 pm in the car park.
It had been a funny day.
Confirmation of end of job date.
Visit to dentist to find they had cancelled for the seventh time...Worse things happen at sea they say...
Or better things ?

Four youths were sat in a car with music blasting out.
A Parent took up three parking by parking across them to sit and watch their children play on dune edge.... WITHOUT GETTING OUT OF THE CAR!

It was a still
evening.
A Fog buzzer echoed around the Bay

BEACH  BUOY....
zzzzzzzzzz

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL... 29 APRIL 2019.

Beach Buoy and side-kick Stubborn Dog arrived in the car park at 6-40pm.
It was a typical lighter night scene as he readied himself for the beach with the side-door on the van open.
Young girls heading for the dunes, effing and blinding as they went by.
A boy racer, taking tread off his tyres, spinning around the car park.
A Vauxhall Corsa with engine running and music playing  loud enough for an entire fairground.

Beach Buoy and his mate headed for the tranquility of the water's edge.
There was well trodden dry sand like the world's busiest desert, beyond that, large stretches of flat sand; some still wet and shinning in the splendid evening sunlight.
With the light came the heat, the sun was still on two bars and throwing out some warmth. The refreshing breeze from the sea only complimented  the sun and made the beach a restful place to be.
(Once clear of the car park.)

They headed south with their shadows leading the way.
There wasn't many people around to people watch and comment on for the blog so Beach Buoy's eyes were drawn to the amazing selection of patterns created by the
movement of sea and sand.
Pools, ripples in the sand and on the water.

Much of the flat sand was still wet with sea water and shone like a beach-length mirror.
Skylarks sang.
Beach Buoy will miss them so much when they have to leave, but that will be ages yet.
Seagulls cried.
A Crow crowed a number of times and it sounded like a buzzer you would hear in a quiz show when an incorrect answer had been given.

The breeze ripples the pool; the sea had rippled the sand.

Sea water...
Yippie!... a Jogger appeared.
He was dressed in orange and black.
He passed Beach Buoy and carried on a couple of hundred metres.
He turned and changed his running technique
completely to that of someone who had taken his trainers off and was jogging on hot coals, his knees were almost touching his chin... and off he went.

Meanwhile back in the beach pattern department..
MONARCH OF THE GLEN.

Out in the Bay the wind turbines turned in Unison
(Other Unions are
available.)
They seemed to be turning in time with the sails of  Windy Miller's windmill in Camberwick Green. His sails went round with an usual sound effect; no unlike that Morecambe and wise sketch Boom ooo yatatata
see links below.

Morecambe and wise

windy miller

The turbines would be an eye opener for him.
He would have to branch out into the Offshore Sector, rushing from turbine to turbine in a brightly coloured boat.

The beach was beautiful.
Beach Buoy stopped and soaked it up..... good for the soul.

He headed North into the bright and dazzling sunlight with one eye shut and the other squinting.
A Perfect Pirate face for saying.... (In a Pirate voice of course.)
" I'm looking for me treasure!'
"I've got me a map!"

SEATON SANDS 28 APRIL 2019 (EVENING.)

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived at 6-50pm
the day trippers had
mostly gone......

The sky was clear in complete contrast to their earlier visit.

Ripples in the water as the German Shepard owners club , heads back.

The noise a horse makes........

A stunning walk back.

BEACH BUOY,

SEATON SANDS 28 APRIL 2019... (MORNING.)

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived on the slightly gloomy beach at 6-35am.
A council truck buzzed around the car park making it spick and span for the day ahead.
Out in the bay, it looked like the wind turbines were supporting the weight of the low, dark grey clouds.
There was a cold wind from the North East.
Beach Buoy looked south and off in the distance was short short man.
Like a Geordie lass on a November night out by the Tyne...
shorts no mater how fresh it was ..... meanwhile bothBeach Buoy and Stubborn Dog were wearing double coats!

High in the sky an artist tried to blend the colours of grey and cream for a seascape that he was painting.

Beach Buoy found a clay pipe in amongst some shingle.
He laid it on the flatter sand to take a photograph.
The pound coin is a guide the pipe's dimensions.

A Ship slips into the River Tess.
The light of the sun comes and goes like the most reluctant lighthouse in the world.

Down near the North Gare Pier. Beach Buoy found
a sea alley.....

Once again the sun tries to show....

Beach Buoy headed back.
The 7 am club lead the way.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog paused on the Promenade for a while and relaxed.

RIDGE MONKEY ...

Back in the days before Beach Buoy  finally
"Got the van."
He would drink tea from camper van cups, with a biscuit  from a camper van tin and watch camper van "STUFF" on You Tube.
Some items were mentioned as worthwhile getting to use in the van. One of these items was Ridgemonkey.
Beach Buoy bought one for the van and used for the first time yesterday.

It comes in a zip up bag.
The storage set up is good as the utensils and removable handles are stored inside the item when not in use.

It can be separated to make two pans.
In its hinged mode it can be turned and turned to allow even cooking.

There are different models, giving a choice of size and set up.
This one is ideal for Beach Buoy's needs.

Post not sponsored by Ridgemonkey
just sharing Beach Buoy's views on it.

BEACH BUOY

Saturday 27 April 2019

SEATON SANDS 27 APRIL 2019.

Beach Buoy woke up.
He turned in bed to look at the window blind to try and judge what time it was by how much light was on show.
He guessed 4-20am.
He turned back and reached for this mobile phone that was on the unit beside the bed.
5-15am.
He is
usually good at guessing the time.
No matter what the time, he knew that he wouldn't be getting back to sleep.
Kettle on....
Beach Buoy was chilly so, on went the fire for a change.
Stubborn Dog curled up from nose to tail like a cat would do. Beach Buoy made a hot drink and sat on the floor next to his little mate.
Beach Buoy sipped the drink and watched Stubborn Dog's body rise and fall as he slept, whilst breathing deeply.
Beach Buoy wondered how old Stubborn Dog was in dog years?
Older than Beach Buoy?
Not Quite.

For now,,,
Stubborn Dog seemed to sense the thoughts, he woke and looked Beach Buoy in the eye as if to say..

"Our days are numbered mate! Let's go to the beach."

... they did so.
They arrived in an empty car park at 6-12 am.
A  Silver Estate Car followed
closely behind.
The Sun was partially hidden by a grey cloak of cloud but it soon broke free.

A partial rainbow could be seen disappearing in the direction of Beach Buoy's back garden!
Had Stubborn Dog been burying treasure?
He does bury biscuits, like a cartoon dog would, then stands at the patio doors with a muddy nose and twigs and leaves in his fur, wanting to be in.
The Grey Estate Car owner had walked to the water's edge with his dog and took photographs of the sun's rise.
He later walked to the dunes and disappeared ...
somewhere under the rainbow .. way down low.

A figure appeared from North Gare Pier.
It was a fisherman, with rod raised high, like the contact rod on a Dodgem car.. although not much dodging is done and maybe the name Beach
Buoy is more familiar with is more apt... BUMPER CAR !
The electric supply ended  suddenly, the fisherman stopped and looked at the sea.
Here would do.
Beach Buoy continued south following the footsteps and tyre marks left by a person pushing a bicycle.
second set of similar tracks were nearby.. The walking Cyclist had been and gone.

The sun was out to the south but there was a dark sky to the north. a few spots of rain fell on Beach Buoy's face but that was it, for this walk at least.

The shipwreck down by the North Gare Pier was
ready for another launch. Stubborn Dog had forgotten the Champagne, but he christened it by other means.....

Sea Pottery find...
A BIT OF A DO.

The 7 am club arrived down near the grey rocks.
Mari the big friendly  poodle just popped over for a quick hello this morning

Sea glass and bobbly gloves...
It was a very slow walk back.

Two Skylarks sang above the dunes, each trying to be the loudest and sweetest as if in competition with each other?
The Eggs factor?

SEATON SANDS AND SEATON CENTRAL 26 APRIL 2019

Beach Buoy and two dogs went to the beach at 6-30pm; the rain came along for the ride.

The rain came and went and came back ... and went again!
There was a hint of a brighter night over towards Saltburn.

Eston Hills glowed under the rainbow.

Beach Buoy decided to turn and head North .... for a change.
The tide was well out.
The sides of the Seaton Wreck were visible.

The Beach Huts ... still not in use!

Another access ramp.

Clock still sowing the incorrect time.

Planet Funland.

Thursday 25 April 2019

SEATON SANDS 25 APRIL 2019.

Another off to work photograph....

Beach Buoy and his stubborn side-kick Stubborn Dog arrived in an almost empty car park at 5-32pm.
They headed down to the sands to the water's edge.
In front of them was mirror image of themselves... well sort of.. there was a lady in a red coat aka Stubborn Owner being dragged along the beach by a white Husky type Dog.

Beach Buoy noticed orange items out at the water's edge; they were Oranges.

Back towards the car park, a cloud had the cheek to hide the sun.
As soon as the sun was hidden, the temperature dropped and the wind speed seemed to pick up.
It was more gloomy to the south but for some reason the South Gare Pier shone with it's own private sun.
A couple walked to the water's edge, both had a dog on a lead.
The couple tried to tempt the dogs into the sea whilst still holding their leads.
The dogs seemed to do that "Any Volunteers ?" trick and  stepped back.
Wet feet and laughter was the result plus dry paws and waggy tails.

The sun came back out but the wind off the sea came in search of heat from any bare skin available.

A piece of dark flat seaweed laid on the sand, a bubble of sea water was midway along the strip... it looked like a Mermaid's watch.
Around 15 or so Oyster Catchers were up ahead.
Beach Buoy gave them a wide berth... the little plump birds were
reluctant  flyers and they ran off like clockwork toys , all drawn to a magnetic pull of distrust. Eventually they flew and whistled like bricklayers on a building site as they did so.

Down by the grey rocks the sea had claimed the last of the sand passage and was ready to claim the rocks for it's portfolio .
Beach Buoy turned to head back north.
The hood went up for the journey back, it was a trail wind now, the hood side flapped like a head sized tent.

The sun shone more brightly and the sea became a more regal shade of royal blue..
