Across the Bay towards Saltburn, Staithes and beyond.

SEATON SANDS 30 JULY 2017.

An early morning walk.

It was a beautiful morning, with plenty of heat in the Sun.

The Beach was fairly empty but would be packed later on.

The stone stacks that we made a few nights ago were still standing.

We sat for a while in the morning Sun and watched the world go by.

We has a Seal for company, but sadly he was camera shy.

Another five stones piece to add to the collection.

Arrived at the Beach around 5 p.m.
The Italian Branch of the family came too.

We sat whilst they played sand castles.
The Dog was glad when we made a move to Beachcomb.

Lots of dramatic Clouds.

22 JULY 2017. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

The Evening walk started in pale light.

To the North, clouds cover the Sky over the bare Seaton Carew Beach. The tide was out and recent sand movement has sculptured the Beach with many large ripples in the sand and  some on-Beach mini Lagoons.Tons of sand have shifted  recently to give the Beach a deep slope to the now incoming Sea.

As we approached the North Gare, I noticed a change in the light; a warm glow filled the Sky as the Sun made it's first few steps to Bed.I turned to look North to see the view above.

We turned to head back.
The sand adjacent to the North Gare Pier was smooth and gave a mirror effect to the Sunset

A little walk North and you can see ripples of water on the left, draining from rock pools, trying it's best to rush and meet the in-coming North Sea.

A few more steps North and the sculptured sand, with it's trapped water gave a different type of reflective pattern.

At this part of the Beach, the Sea seemed eager to fill the delves and depressions in the Sand. It came in at the this this point in semi-circle, like an eager thirsty tongue reaching out for the cool of an Ice Cream.

The Italian branch of the family lead the way back.

One last look at the Sea..... (Tonight!).

Clouds to the South gave us a hint of what was to come, as we slowly left the Beach.
Around ten minutes later we were back at base and the rain poured down.
I love the sound of the rain on a roof.

Here's one from almost seven years ago to the day.
My poor old dog and one time Beach buddy.
She was no bother and lived to be over twenty years old.The Sunset isn't as dramatic. The Beach isn't as patterned but the scene is one of my favourites.
She was good dog and a great companion.
I cried like a baby when she had to go.
