28 FEBRUARY 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 Saturday morning.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog parked up in Sandy Car Park.
It was 7-25.
There was a cold breeze from the north.
The tide was well out.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones as they walked to the wreck.

Beach Buoy fed some Crows that were stood nearby.
Ten Crows in total.

A Gull flew above the Feeding Crows.

A Lady head into the cold headwind with the water's edge for company, no dog.
Hand stuffed into pockets.

Team One Black Ear were heading back north.
They stopped to chat as they passed.

Team Muzzled Dog stopped to chat too.
They were soon way ahead to the south.

Chatting over, Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south.
They aimed for the low level route.
Team Muzzled Dog were on their way up the big slope into the dunes.

They walked the low level route.
Beach Buoy noticed that Brakesy's seat had been rotated.
Perhaps to give dune edge shelter in prevailing wind.
It was north this morning but so often it is south west.
With the seat being moved, Beach Buoy was hopeful that Brakesy had been again.

Beach Buoy added two sturdy stones to the sea defence.

They climbed the small slope that leads to Stubborn Dog Stack.

Wonderful.
Another Brakesey.
A view to the north.
Excellent.

"Morning Mate."
It was 8-02.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
 stone.

They stood a while.

Others had used the free paint set.

All are welcome.

Including Crows...

Beach Buoy scattered some seeds.

"See you mate."
(Stubborn Dog.)

Brakesy's seat alongside the low level route.

Back to the beach.
Back to the north.
Back to reality

The sound of distant skylarks tried to tempt them back to the dunes

They kept onto the north.

Others claimed the south.

Perhaps someone was claiming the wreck?
No chance, it would soon belong to the sea once more.

They faffed as the Beachcombing Border Collie Couple went down the access ramp.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog went down the access ramp.

The lady with a red coat, her friend and a Brown Dog called Jasper did too.

"Morning."

"Morning. Light morning's make such a difference to the day don't they?"

"They do."

Two people stood by the Wreck.

Need less to say that the tide was well out.

The other ramp users made their way south.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

6-59 came.
The Sun didn't.

There was a hint of a breeze from the south west.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog made their way to the low level route.
The other ramp users were way to the south.
Beach Buoy selected and added two sturdy stones to the sea defence pile.

Up the small slope.

"Morning Mate "
It was 7-23.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

They had a stand and a think.

He scattered some seeds for the Crows.

"See you mate."
They returned to the beach below.

They made their way north.
Hints of rainfall were in the air.

They made their way to the wreck.

The Wreck but a survivor too.

The tide was beginning to reclaim it.

A ripple sea folded gently around it.

Beach Buoy gave a distant wave to Mr.Gunn/Lunn which was returned.

He had Friday Basil as well as Excellent Dog Alfie today.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog made their way to the Esplanade.

Team Muzzled Dog were on the beach at distance.

Too distant for a distant wave.

Back to the access ramp.

Back to the  Esplanade.

Back to reality.

26 February 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 Thursday morning.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog reached the beach at 7-54.

A double Dog faff saw them step onto the beach as the Village Church Bells rang for 8 a.m.

The Lady with a Dog called Dylan, led the way south.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

A Ship headed to the river.

The Lady with a White Dog and a Black Dog was up ahead.
They headed up the big slope.

It was a mild, overcast day with a light breeze from the south west.

The tide was about as far in as it was out.

The Lady with Dylan the Dog was heading back.
That chatted briefly about dogs.

Beach Buoy and the Dogs made their way to the low level route.
The breeze picked up.

Beach Buoy was in a bit of a grump.
He just felt like sitting on the sand, one hundred miles from anywhere.

He added two sturdy stones to the base of the small slope.

"Morning Mate."
It was 8-26.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He stood a while with the dogs.

He scattered some seeds for the Crows.
"See you mate."

Back along the low level route.

Skylark song overhead lifted his spirits.

Another ship headed to the busy river

The breeze picked up.
It made it feel.like rain was on the way.

Tiny people to the south walked the beach in dark clothes.
Shadows out for a walk.

They continued north.
A reluctant looking Jogger did the same along the water's edge.
A colourful coat arrived.
Hope after all.

Two Crows landed, wanting breakfast.
Beach Buoy obliged.
Two became sixteen.

They really should go on Seaton has got Talent.

JUST A BIKE RIDE. 25 FEBRUARY 2026.

BEACH BUOY.

25 FEBRUARY 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 Wednesday morning.

Sunrise was at 7-04 a.m.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog were at The Esplanade Wall at 7-03.

Team One  Black Ear were on the beach.

Low cloud had claimed the sunrise as its own.

They headed to the beach.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

The strand-line was busy.

They headed down to the water's edge.

The tide was a canny way.
The wreck was still at sea.

It was mild with no breeze.

The sea was almost flat.

The 7 a.m. club were heading south with a cloud of birds above.

At 7-12, the Sun cleared the low cloud.

Up up and away.

Beach Buoy chatted to the 7 a.m. club.

A Lady, her mobile phone and her two dogs walked the water's edge.

Team One Black Ear headed back north.
They chatted.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed towards the low level route.

"Morning Mate."
It was 7-51
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
The Sun had slipped back into cloud.
The idle Wind Turbines began to turn slowly.

Someone had made use of the gifted paints.

Beach Buoy enjoyed a stand and a think.
It was almost perfect.

.

A Crow arrived.
Beach Buoy scattered some seeds.

"See you mate."
(Stubborn Dog.)
As they headed down the small slope, the Crow jumped down to the ground for breakfast.

A Happy Crow.

Beach Buoy and the Dogs returned to the north.
They stopped to chat to the Sunderland Supporter.
They discussed the word apricity.

The Sunderland Supporter and his rescue dog continued southwards.

Beach Buoy stopped to chat to Mr.Gunn /Lunn and Excellent Dog Alfie.
Mr. Gun /Lunn told Beach Buoy that he had been watching a White-throat diver not far from the water's edge.

Mr.Gunn/Lunn and his excellent continued south, along the water's edge.

Beach Buoy and the dogs wandered along.

A Mackerel Sky.
Changeable weather ahead?

Maybe the bird that Mr.Gunn/Lunn saw?

As the reached the north end of the dunes, the Village Church Bells rang for 8-30.
