5, FEB 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 Thursday morning.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog had parked in Seaton Park at 8-25.

Minutes later they were on The Esplanade.

Not Not Beach Buoy was heading north towards them.

Beach Buoy gave a distant half wave.

They only ever talked whilst passing.

It's usually a "Morning."

followed by a "How do."

There was a man with a shovel and a wheelbarrow.

He was digging out the Crazy Golf features that had been buried in wind-blown sand.

They headed to the beach.
The raw wind was from the east.
Straight off the sea.

He collected five suitable stones as soon as was practicable.

He took pity on some Crows that seemed to be struggling to stay in one place on the sand in the strong wind.

He dragged a heel in the sand.

He placed seed in the makeshift trough.

A Curfew of around thirty Curlew flew from dunes to the sea.

Five or six must have tilted the wrong wing?

The were taken by the wind.

The others headed south for a short distance before landing on the beach.

The Piers on the edge of the Bay were all taking a battering.

The Gares to the South.

The Sunderland Supporter and his delightful black rescue dog were to the south.
Beach Buoy went to chat.
"Morning."
"Morning, l thought that l would be the only one to be daft enough to be on the beach this morning."
It was O.K.
Beach Buoy was daft too.
They had another excellent and informative chat.

Gulls hung in the air like clothes on a seafront washing line.

Beach Buoy and the dogs walked the low level route.

Beach Buoy gathered two sturdy stones for the sea defences.

He laid the sturdy stones at the base of the small slope that leads to Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Morning Mate."

Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

It was 9-10.

It was a bit blowy up on Stubborn Dog Stack.

They stood for a short wind-swept while.

"See you mate."

The low level was blowy too.

Beach Buoy and the dogs headed back with the help of a tailwind.

A driftwood stick man raced northwards for shelter, Tea and a breakfast bun at a Seafront Cafe.

The walk back was much easier.

Gulls drifted near to the dune edge.

So much sand has gone by wind and sea.

The Clock Tower was still showing an incorrect time.

Sands of time.

Sea Pottery find.

Work was still on-going to clear the Crazy Golf of sand.

Back to Seaton Park Car Park.

BEACH BUOY.
