SEATON SANDS. 14 APRIL 2019... Morning and Evening.

Beach Buoy drove to the beach with the song
When will I see you again ?

running through his head.

His phone had said it was three degrees.....
It was 6-30 am.

The sun was already shining above the rooftops.
Sunglasses were donned.
The 6-41 am beach was bright and chilly.
Beach Buoy wore gloves.
As usual Stubborn Dog was being ........ stubborn.
Each waterworks event wasn't just a cock of the leg and away.
Each "event." is a complicated series of rituals.
Face the breeze or not face the breeze?
Right Leg or left leg?

Angle of lean?
Assess wind speed?
Like a golfer about to take the championship winning shot, he tries all combinations, unlike a golfer not in his head but actually takes each position and stance.

6-51 a.m. and they were heading south.
As they walked, four Oyster Catchers did a head height fly past to the left.
Maybe it was thank you from the four from yesterday for giving them a wide berth?

Beach Buoy glanced north.
In the distance the 7 a.m. club were a
little early.

The scene changed as a shy sun dashed behind a cloud curtain to change.

Suddenly the sea looked dark and dangerous.
Like a winter sea waiting.

A Crow stood on the rocks, crowing like an angry farmer who wanted people off his land.
The crow became silent as Beach Buoy  and Stubborn Dog passed.
The silence was broken beautifully by a Skylark above the dunes.

The sun played peekaboo above the wind turbines.
The 7am club had caught up.
Mari the large poodle made a dash for Beach Buoy.
Neck scratch time.
"I don't know what the attraction is with you?'said the big dog's owner.. "She's besotted."

The 7 am club headed off.
Beach Buoy sat and had a think down behind the WW2 anti tank blocks...

as did Stubborn Dog.
The silhouette of a man took photographs up on the nearby pier.

They finally moved and headed back.
Stubborn dog stopped for yet another "Waterworks Event."
It was a par four.

The earlier dark sea had brightened with lighter blues, hints of green as the waves curled then flashes of bright white as they broke.

A Stubborn Dog cloud?

They said farewell the morning beach.......

They drove along the Sea Front  and had a cuppa, bun and cake with a sea view.

"Bun?"

It may have been three degrees outside .... the car park was more like fifteen degrees... in slope to the horizon.
white car with black wheels parked nearby.A young man sat looking at the sea as he broadcast his choice of music to the other car park occupants; drowning out the sound of the sea. He stayed a while, then drove off taking his music with him.
It was back to the sound of Sea FM
(Frees Me.)
The white car was soon replaced by a light blue car.
The driver went to the boot and picked up a flask.
He sat back in the car and poured his cuppa with a sea view.

A Pool of sunlight ran into the cold sea.
Beach Buoy drove back to base camp.

THE EVENING VISIT.

It was 6-28 pm.
It was cold.
The tide was far out.

The beach was very quiet.... thankfully.

Quiet and colourful.... even better.

Only a couple of fellow dog walkers were to be seen.
Beach Buoy walked to the grey rocks.... as usual.

Pools gathered on the beach in the contoured beach's indentions.

Full of admiration for a low tide beach.

A jogger headed north.
A line of hi-viz in the distance announced that the German Shepard Owners Club were heading south; they later passed without
incident.
Beach Buoy headed for the car park bin, put in his beach clean and drove away.

Later that night ........
"Are you really doing the blog without me?

BEACH BUOY.
