MON. 25 APRIL 2022. SEATON CAREW, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog arrived at the beach car park at 6-29 p.m.

There was a light blue sky with white "Simpsons." clouds over the sea.

One rouge darker cloud drifted across the bay.

To the west a more threatening sky took hold.

Any breaks in that cloud covering sent shafts of sunlight down to earth.

They headed south.

The wind was cold.

Luckily Beach Buoy's jeans came with fitted gloves.

a.k.a pockets.

Two hoods went up.

Two hands went into pockets.

Random couples dotted the beach.

Tiny people and a big sky.

The tide was well out, beyond the Seaton Carew Wreck.

One horsepower.

A couple with a greyhound appeared from the dunes like a magician's trick before heading north, they disappeared.

Beach Buoy and the dogs headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.

Five sandy coloured stones were added this evening.

Beach Buoy patted

THE

stone.

"Evening Mate."

It was 7 p.m.

He drank some of his coffee.

Beach Buoy looked around.

There is industry too.

"See you mate."

They headed to the beach and the North Gare Pier to the south.

Beach Buoy drank the remaining coffee as they walked.

The beach was as empty of Beach Buoy's thermal mug.

The beach pools gave wonderful mirror-like reflections.

As the return journey took place others came to share the beach.

On the strand-line, a man walked with a dog.

On the water's edge another man walked with a swagger.
