Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 6-10 p.m.
Free Parking started at 6
The rain at 6-04.
On a brighter note, the rain amounted to nothing much at all.
The wind was blowing from the north west.
It was mild.
People dotted the water's edge.
They headed south.
The sky was full of clouds.
The bay was full of sea.
It was almost high tide.
The beach narrowed to the south.
A Gull dropped from the sky and rode the wave tops as it travelled north.
It really did look like it was having fun.
Beach Buoy had seen others do the same.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog took the short walk from the sea to
Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added five stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Beach Buoy had brought a thermal mug of coffee.
They went and sat at the front of the stack.
Beach Buoy had a sit and think as he drank coffee.
He would have stayed longer but people and dogs were on the way towards the stack via the dunes.
He stood up.
"See you mate."
They headed down to the beach.
They headed back.
After a while Beach Buoy realised that the inner rush had kicked in.
He tried to keep it at bay much more now, but there it was, pushing them north into the headwind.
He stopped.
He looked out over a slate grey sea to the bruise blue clouds beyond.
There was no rush.
So don't.
An imagined Post Card from Seaton Carew.
Having a lovely time.
Wish you were here.
Well today's beach walk can be described as
"Bracing."
Went to show last night.
Saw him off TV.
You know, the one with that catchphrase.
"Do these trousers look too big?
He wasn't very funny.
BEACH BUOY.
