Beach Buoy and Another Dog
arrived at the beach
at 6-21 p.m.
The wind was fresh and from the west.
The sky was various shade of blue.
They headed down towards the sea
The tide was well in but hungry for more beach.
A family walked north on the water's edge.
A lady with three different coloured dogs also headed north on the blustery beach.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.
That end of the beach was theirs now.
The palest of Suns tried to break through the overcast sky.
They continued south, dodging the incoming sea.
A man with a Black Greyhound passed by.
Someone had gone barefoot.
They headed up to
Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added six stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Beach Buoy sat down on one of the larger stack stones with a view of the bay.
Coffee time.
He sat and watched the wind turbines spin, the sea roll in.
The waves rolled into Sand Martin Corner.
More like stallions than white horses, the sea's spray their manes.
Coffee finished...
"See you Winnie."
Beach Buoy stared at the stack for a moment of re-realisation.
Stubborn Dog wasn't coming back to sit on the sofa, "Help." With the blog.
First watery eyes for a while.
Someone had planted some driftwood up on the dune edge.
They headed back.
A man with two dogs overtook them.
One dog was little, white with caramel patches.
The other looked like
a long haired greyhound.
It seemed to have been drawn with a 2B pencil, dark grey in colour.
It was a very nervous but friendly looking dog.
They headed back to the van.
Soft sand swirled in mini tornado-like circles as it headed out to sea.
As they reached the top of the access ramp, two women walked the promenade in colourful wooly hats.
An imagined Post Card from Seaton Carew.
Having a lovely time.
Wish you were here.
Had to change rooms.
As you know l extended my stay.
A couple had booked my particular room for sentimental reasons.
What a nice couple they are too.
BEACH BUOY.
