CRIMDON. 30 APRIL 2022.

It was around 12-30 p.m.
It was very warm.

They headed down into the Dene.

The Dene led to a path.
The path led to the dunes.

The dunes led to the beach.

 The beach.
The breeze off the sea was most needed and even more welcome.

BEACH BUOY

BIKE RIDE 30 APRIL 2022.

Beach Buoy set off around 7-50 a.m.
He headed for the sea front and the promenade that bordered it.

Screams ran across the beach as the regular sea water swimmers entered the north sea.
Beach Buoy headed up to the high ground were almost unbelievably a sea front tip once stood.

The view is great from up there.
The vantage point gives a different perspective of the beach and the village that huddles around it.

They headed back towards the Village.

The bike.
The engine is much much older.

BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL 30, APRIL 2022

Beach Buoy woke at 4-18 a.m.
He laid thinking.
The birds began to sing at 4-30 a m.
By 5-02 a.m. Beach Buoy and Another Dog were together but alone in the beach car park.
Sunrise was booked for 5-28 a.m.
High tide had been a short while, around an hour before that?

The recent addition to the beach, the Little Tern fencing made a pleasant change to the beach.
Something different.

The fencing creates new possibilities for photography.

More impressive than any red VIP  carpet, freshly exposed sand awaited the first foot and paw prints.
Sunrise seekers walked down the beach access ramp but thankfully they headed north.

A metallic sea waited to reflect the sun.
Low cloud on the horizon claimed the sunrise.

The sunrise pallet waited.
No delivery today.
They continued south, their prints writing the first draft of today's beach story.
Others would arrive to edit and adapt.

There was no coat this morning.
Two hoodies were worn with both hoods activated.
Beach Buoy sipped some water, no beach coffee today.
It would be van coffee later.
Out in the bay, Gulls sat on the sea unphased as they rose and fell with the swell.

They headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

They watched as The Sea Serpent twisted and turned.
Beach Buoy waved and shouted "Good Morning."
He really did
It's OK nobody knows but you.

"See you mate."
They headed back to the beach.

The sun decided to show up around half an hour late.

The sun rose but was still low enough to allow beach pebbles to cast sunshine shadows.

Dune Folk watched the beach proceedings.

The 7 a.m. club approached.
In time they passed.
"Morning."
"Morning Paul."
Mari the poodle totted over for her neck scratch.
She trotted off with a waggy tail.
The 7 a.m. club headed back by the water's edge.

Beach Buoy veered off towards the access ramp.

Beach Buoy rested on the promenade wall, watching people come and go.
They headed back to the van.
Beach Buoy put on a pan of milk for coffee.

They both sat on the rear bench seat.
Beach Buoy reached for the ridge monkey grill.
He warmed a croissant in it, not sure as to the outcome.
It was lovely.

Because he had turned up so early, it was odd to sit and watch as other beach regulars turn up at their normal  times, but looking late.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 29 APRIL 2022.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 6-23 p.m.
Borrowed Dog had been returned.
The car park was busy.
It was to be expected.
The day had seen the first decent sunshine for almost a week.
They headed to the sea, it was great to feel solar warmth, although there was still a slight fresh breeze off the sea to stop everyone becoming too excited.

The tide was more in than it was out.
Although the car park was busy, the beach was less so.
The Amusements, Fish and Chips must have been the draw for the  majority?

A 999 siren worked it's way along the sea front.
A lady with a small white dog,  headed north at the water's edge.
A couple with a greyhound walked the dune edge.

Beach Buoy found a Starfish.
It wasn't one of the more exotic types.
Just a starfish.
It looked dead, but.. you never know.
He placed the starfish in a beach pool and watched for movement.
Its pose was that of a man in a pointy trying to pull on an invisible rope.
The pose remained unchanged.
No movement.

Beach Buoy reached into his beach bag.
He took out the recent Bits and Bobs to photograph them.
Down at the water's edge the gulls were having a whale of a time.
Beach Buoy wondered if somewhere far away some whales were having a Gull of a time ?

He gathered up some beach stones before heading to Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Evening Mate."
He placed the beach stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
They paused.

"See you mate."

They headed back to the beach.
They walked north.

Up ahead two horses trotted around.

Dog walker's dog walk the strand-line.

A couple overtook them on the way back to van.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog just aimed for the van.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the van.
Beach Buoy drank coffee.

Thursday, 28 April 2022

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL 28, APRIL 2022.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog reached the beach at 6-32 p.m.

The golf club flag was still at half mast, it fluttered in the fresh breeze off the sea.

Six HGVs were parked up side by side.

One of the drivers was sat on a stool, blackening the tyres on his vehicle.

A hatchback drove into to the car park.

The doughnut of a driver, started to do doughnuts.

Round and round.

 A tyre burst.

The sound of metallic wheel on tarmac echoed around.

The car limped out of the car park.

It can't have gone far?

It only had three wheels

It had been a cloudy day.

The sun decided to show up as they stepped on the beach.

It was a pale milky sun but strong enough to cast faint, almost reluctant sunshine shadows ahead of them as they walked south, midway between the sea and the strand-line.

More of the fencing had been put in place to protect the Little Tern Area.

A fisherman headed south on the water's edge.

A couple headed north with their greyhound up along the strand-line.

Beach Buoy and the dogs took aim at Stubborn Dog Stack.

Two hoods went up.

The fisherman joined three others on the beach at a point in line with Stubborn Dog Stack.

The fishermen faffed on.

The ones that got away.

Beach Buoy gathered four suitable stones.

"Evening Mate."

He added the stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

"See you mate."

They headed back to the beach.

Beach Buoy had brought a coffee but he decided to take it back to the van and drink it there.

They left the beach in the care of Stubborn Dog.

He had four fishermen for company tonight

Beach Buoy drank coffee as the dogs slept a short while.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL 27 APRIL 2022.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog headed for the beach.
It was overcast.
It was 6-14 p.m.
There was a chilly breeze from the north east.
A start had been on the fencing for the
Little Tern nesting area.

A pale grey sky and a darker sea.
They headed down to the water's edge.

The sea was just beyond the Seaton Carew Wreck.

They took aim at Stubborn Dog Stack.
The beach went from shingle to sand and back again.

A grey sky and a chilly breeze ensured a quieter beach.

A black dog appeared from the dunes.
A white dog appeared from the dunes.
A lady in a yellow coat followed.
This trio wandered south along the strand-line before drifting off to the water's edge.

There was some lovely patterns on the sandy sections.
That wind was cold.
Three hoods went up.
Two hands went into pockets.

The other beach trio; Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog, headed towards
Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy picked six flattish stones, with a dry stone wall finish in mind.

"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added the flat stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

The tide was low, so Beach Buoy had thought it would be a good idea to have coffee down near
Sand Martin Corner.
"See you mate."
They headed back to the beach.
Beach Buoy took down three hood down.
The sound of the sea was too muffled.

There was a seal near the tank traps.
It looked to be o.k.
Beach Buoy kept his distance.

The headed back.
There is another wreck on Seaton Sands.
Sometimes just a lone timber stood defiant.

Still here.

They continued the walk back, almost back at the van.

Low tide corrugations.

The tide had turned.
Fingers of sea filled gulley's in the sand, trying the beach on for size.

More posts for tomorrow, beach fencing for Little Tern Area.
Thry look like deck chairs stacked for hire.
