SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 6 JULY 2024.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach car park at 7-04 a.m.

The man who walks the car park perimeter over and over was just leaving.

Out over the bay, the Sun looked like the Moon.

It scattered a silver light across the surface of the sea.

Below a local fishing boat worked the pots.

It was overcast.

The tide was more in than it was out.

A breeze blew from the north.

The air was full of the combined sounds of sea and Chattering Little Terns.

Up ahead, others, including the Beachcombing Border Collie Couple.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked the strand-line.

The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple passed by quickly as they returned to the north.

Up the big slope that leads to the "easy" route.

Down on the beach below, a couple and their dogs scatter Gulls that were resting on the water's edge.

The stack.
They arrived at 7-38.
"Morning Mate."
He added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on a driftwood wedge about a metre long.
The coffee was poor.
The coffee was too cold.

Clouds to the south looked like an underbelly.
A twitter mate tweeted that it felt like dusk this morning.
Clarty Feet was right, it did.

"See you mate."

They continued south along the dune edge.

A lone clump of dune grass reminded Beach Buoy of flames from a driftwood beach fire.

They made their way to Sand Martin Corner.
The machine gun post was breaking up, falling onto the waiting sands of time.

History becomes just more grey rocks.

People turn to dust.

They turned to head back.
It seemed to brighten up.
Their sunshine shadows decided to make an appearance.
A Bright Orange Ship entered the river.
A grey sea became blue in an instant.

Beach Buoy waved to Stubborn Dog Stack as they passed by on the beach below.

The elderly man with an elderly greyhound passed by.
They shared a "Morning."
With a not too distant waves thrown in for good measure.

Beach Buoy usually sees them on evening walks.

A slow walk back.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed straight to a local sea view cafe for a full English breakfast and coffee.

Just because.

BEACH BUOY.
