SUNDAY 9 JUNE 2024. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 Beach Buoy woke at 5-20.
He has been up until almost 1 a.m.
He made a beach coffee .
He and Another Dog reached the beach
 at 6-12.
A very black and very smart VW Caddy was parked close to Beach Buoy's usual parking spot.

Scruffy's mam had joked a few times to Beach Buoy "When are you going to sell me your van?"
She had dreamed about a VW van for many years. She did like the Caddy Vans.
He hoped it was hers.

A Metal Detectorist headed to the sea.

Others chatted by the sea.

The tide was almost at its highest.

It was overcast.

There was fresh breeze from the west.

Beach Buoy walked towards the sea, as did The Metal Detectorist.

The sky looked darker towards the west.

Seaton Carew, Hartlepool.

Someone had gone to the trouble of making a makeshift dune staircase from rocks and driftwood.

The 7 a.m. club and Scruffy's Mam passed by.
"Did you see my van?"

" Yes l did. It looks lovely. I had hoped it was yours. I'm so pleased for you.
Do you keep looking out of the window to look at it?"
"Yes! Did you when you got yours?"

"Yes."

"I thought if l don't do it now, l never will. Maybe only have another five to seven years left." she said.

They all discussed
"Waiting for God."
"Sniper Alley."

On that happy note they went their separate ways.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for the "easy" route.

"Morning Mate."
It was 6-44.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

He sat watching a camera-shy Seal work it's way south.
He pulled up two hoods.
He watched the Sand Martins aerial display.
He listened to the Skylarks song.
He is going to miss the birds more than ever this year when they leave.

Things is, you never know which summer is to be your last.

"See you mate."

They headed back.

Muzzled Dog was waiting at the top of the big slope.
Beach Buoy made a fuss of the dog.

Team Muzzled Dog came up the big slope.
They chatted before going their own way.

A slow walk back.

The dunes seem to spreading a little to the north?

BEACH BUOY.
