Beach Buoy had set an alarm for 4-15 as he
had done the previous morning.
He woke before the alarm .
He and Another Dog reached the beach
at 4-35 a.m.
A young man walked the promenade.
He threw the can he was drinking from into the bin at the top of the access ramp.
He headed down to the beach .
By the time Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed down the ramp, the young man was heading barefoot to the sea, shoes in hand.
Maybe not the best of decisions as recent strong winds had exposed many stones to cross before reaching the sea.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.
The young man headed north as he waited for the sunrise to show.
Beach Buoy put two hoods up. He wasn't wearing a coat, just double hoodie.
It wasn't cold as such.
There was a slight breeze from the north.
The tide was going out.
The water's edge was only around twelve metres from the strand-line at this point.
As sunrise approached a ghost ship began to appear as it headed for the river.
Two Ducks sped over the dunes before heading towards Hartlepool Headland, close to the sea.
The moment of sunrise took place behind cloud
Eventually it began to show.
A parcel of Oyster Catchers flew south as the whistled a familiar tune.
They continued south.
Theirs were the first prints of the day on the tidal sand.
Beach Buoy wandered into the dunes , looking for a photographic opportunity.
The sun gave off a bit off heat as it rose.
The Seaton Carew Sea Serpent.
Beach Buoy gathered some stones for the stack.
He added them.
He patted
The
stone.
He drank coffee.
The breeze was slight.
The marram grass bent gently.
As if agreeing during a conversation.
Another Dog was keen to be move.
"See you mate."
They moved.
A slow walk back.
The beach was still theirs.
As they headed up the beach access ramp, Hugo, the distant wave lady's dog came bounding down.
Beach Buoy stroked the dog, he was warm to the touch, fresh from a warm car .
The distant wave lady approached.
They chatted briefly.
"Enjoy your walk."
Beach Buoy headed for the nearby van.
The distant wave lady headed for the approaching 7 a.m. club.
Beach Buoy drove up the coast a short distance, stopping to make coffee down near the village green.
The promenade.
The van.
Van view.
