26 MAY 2022. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

It was Thursday.

Beach Buoy was extra glad to be on the beach after missing Monday and Wednesday.
Sat in queues as opposed to sand in shoes
The Golf Club Flag was back at half mast.
Another local golfer must have passed?
The flag flapped to the east in a wind from the west.
As they drove into the car park a lady was leaving in a red car, she waved.
The unexpected wave was returned.

It was the litter picking lady, who's dog has a hatred for Shih Tzus but not Lhasa Apsos.

There was a strange collection of people at the top of the access ramp.
They all said their farewells as Beach Buoy approached.
The non-tidal part of the beach was more like a cobbled street as it was a beach
So much sand had gone to sea thanks to the strong winds.
The migration continued.
Sand snaked past them as they walked south.

The strong wind pushed clouds along.
One moment stood in bright sunlight, the next in shade.

The tide was well out.

A man walked the water's edge with a Wolf of a Dog.
The large Dog was off the lead but was clear that it was no threat
The Dog was in its own wonderful world, trotting in and out of the sea at will.

It was a glorious light.
Others, to the north, headed for the sea.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.

Five stones and a handful of shingle were added.
"Evening Mate."
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat at the stack.
He twisted his thermal mug into the dune sand using it as a cup holder.
They stayed twenty minutes.
The coffee was drank.

It was a lovely view from the stack.

They went back to the beach.
Beach Buoy pulled up two hoods.
One to keep the wind out the other to do the same job with the world.
They headed back with a face full of sun and wind.
Down at the water's edge Gulls cried like drowning men as they took flight only for the wind to whisk them out to sea, each press ganged into service.

 Another Dog went on strike.
She had obviously found Stubborn Dog's how to be stubborn book.
They passed five hearts of verious sizes and in some cases, shapes.
One looked more like a cat.
The second largest had
E+A
 written inside, in the sand.
The largest of all had
A+E
on the inner.
Did A love E more than E loved A?
Or was it a sign for medical help required ?

They reached the promenade.
The van rocked in the wind.
Mobile Beach Hut.
