SATURDAY 28 MAY 2022 SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. AN EVENING VISIT

It was Saturday evening.
They reached the car park at 6-38 p.m.
There was a fresh breeze from the north.
Four 10-11year olds headed down towards the soft sand at the bottom of the access ramp on their bikes.
Each had a different view of the outcome.
1.Descended in silence.
2. Shouted "Be careful!"
3. "I'm O.K. it's a mountain bike."
4."Watch me break my ****ing neck!"
The all ground to a halt, dismounted and ended up pushing their bikes.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed towards the sea.
Up ahead a metal detectorist was bent over beeping away, bum in the air as he searched for the signal's source.
Thoughts of  that Father Ted episode, the one with Bishop Brennan flashed through Beach Buoy's mind.....

Beach Buoy continued towards the sea then south.
A man walked the strand-line  heading north, with one shoe on, the other in his hand.
The tide was well out.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Evening Mate."
Beach added stones before patting
THE
stone.
It has been warm in the back garden before they had set off.
Beach Buoy was glad to be wearing, double hoodies, snood and wooly hat.
"See you mate "
They headed back to the beach.

A man with a Whippet walked north.
No sign of a flat cap or even a Flamboyant one.

Down at the water's edge two Little Terns mated.
It seemed a bit late as the birds had been here a while.
May they had lost their eggs ?

It was as bright as it was fresh.

Beach cleaned fishing float.

Another Dog stood on her back legs to see if there were any dog treats in the beach bag.

Two men slid their way down from the dunes and stepped off into the sunset.

BEACH BUOY.
