SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL . 22 MAY 2022.

The alarm went off at 4-15 a.m.
As you can see, Another Dog was quite impressed.
Beach Buoy made a thermal mug of coffee.
They reached the car park at 4-44 a.m.

The sun rose at 4-46.

Seafront windows turned gold, where fitted.

Beach Buoy watched sun rise from the promenade.

The Little Tern nesting site had a wonderful view.

By the time that they had reached the water's edge, the sun was fully clear of the horizon.
No sooner was it up when it began to make plans to slip into some low lying cloud.
Pebbles with legs scampered north.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed South.
South was where the moon looked down from.
Today it was a fifty percent moon, cut from top to bottom.
The tide was well out, as far as the Seaton Carew Wreck.
Only it most prominent of timbers were clear of the sand at present.

Beach Buoy paused, looking towards the dunes.
A Little Tern flew by at eye level.
The bird had a small fish which it was taking back to the nesting site.
They continued south on the wide beach.
Theirs were the first prints of the day.
They headed towards
Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy collected some beach stones.

"Morning Mate."
He added the stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was 5-30 a.m.
He sat on a stack stone with a faceful of sun.
The beach was deserted.

Another Dog seemed to enjoy peace too.
The sea lapped gently onto the beach as industry tumbled on the riverside.
Beach Buoy consumed mouthfuls of coffee and lungs full of beach.

It was a special spot.

"See you mate."
They headed back to the beach.

The beach was still empty.
Half an hour of beach and it's sunrise to themselves.

Beach Buoy kicked a ball for Another Dog to chase as they moved southwards.
They hadn't been to Sand Martin Corner for a while due to tide or state of mind.
Sand Martins flew all around like day shift bats.

Two large birds flew overhead, possibly Egrets?

A Little Tern headed back to the north along the dune edge, performing an unintentional duet with the Skylarks as it did so.

They turned to the north to begin a slow walk back.
It  was 6-12 a.m.
The first of the "Others." appeared ahead.

They eventually approached.
It was the 7 a.m. club.
Mari the big friendly poodle came trotting over for a neck scratch.

They chatted a while.
"See you."
"See you."

Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued their slow walk back.

The breeze picked up.
A glass sea began to ripple.

They sat in the van a while, just because.

BEACH BUOY.
