SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL 03, MAY 2022.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived at the beach at 6-32 p.m.
It was overcast.
It was nowhere near as cold as it looked.
The was a breeze off the sea to the east.

They headed into the breeze to reach the water's edge.
The tide was high.
The strand-line and the water's edge were next door neighbours.
They headed south.
A couple joined the beach.
They also headed south, but they chose to hug the dune edge.
They disappeared into the dune system, maybe to hug one another?

The sea was quite calm.
Waves did break two or three steps out.
Birds of all types were noticeable by their absence this evening.

A piece of sea pottery came into view and of course into Beach Buoy's Beach Bag.

Beach Buoy collected five beach stones.

He added the stones to
Stubborn Dog Stack.
He placed the five in suitable spots.
He patted
THE
stone.
"Evening Mate."
Usually the dunes would feel more exposed.
This evening they felt milder, edging on muggy.

Finally the Skylarks came within earshot.
Beach Buoy sat on a larger stack stone.
He drank coffee.
He watched the sea.

"See you mate."
They headed back to the beach.

Gulls appeared.
They all headed over to see the Sea Serpent.

They began to head back north.

It was just them...

The wandered along the empty beach.
The receding tide have left them a blank canvas to walk.
They made their mark.
