SEATON SANDS 04 Sept 2019...

Beach Buoy set off for the beach, half expecting a soaking.
The last couple of nights, he had avoided the rain by chance and not judgement.
Beach Buoy and Stubborn set off for the car park.
The flag at the Seaton Carew Golf Club flapped in the wind; a westerly wind.
Te flag also gave them the additional information that another golfer had passed away, due to its position on the flagpole.
Beach Buoy and his mate; Stubborn Dog arrived at the car park at 6-52pm.
Beach Buoy opened the side door of the van.
He put his  "Country file " waterproof coat on top of his hoodie.

They reached the sand at 7pm.
He knew it was 7 because the Church Bells sound out from the Village Church.
As the Bells tolled a Boy-Racer's tyres screeched around the car park.

And then it came!
As if out of nowhere the wind changes direction.
A North wind blew now, twice as strong as the westerly it had just so rudely replaced.
Dry sand that had built up against the promenade wall was now drifting to the South.
A couple and their dog that were heading south were now drifting back to the car park; their walk cut short.
Apart from the dog and its walkers, just about everything was heading south, like it or not...
The four Yachts that were in the Bay,
The waves,
The clouds,
Beach Buoy,
Subborn Dog,
Stubborn Dog's Flappy Ears... (Leading the way.)

The clouds had gone with the wind, so out came the sun to illuminate the blustery conditions.

The yachts began the difficult journey back to Hartlepool at the North end of the Bay.
It didn't look easy or comfortable as they all rolled and leaned as they battled the very strong headwind.

A Tug boat came out of the River Tees and headed out to Sea, where a large Black Ship was pointing in the general direction of Hartlepool.

It was a dramatic beach scene.

It was a grand walk.
Any cobwebs were well and truly blown away.
