SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL, 18 APRIL 2023.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed down the beach access ramp at 6-22 p.m.
It was very bright with a fresh Breeze from the north.
The tide was well out.
There was hardly a cloud in the sky.

It was bright enough to be mid-day.
A couple walked south with two Border Collie Dogs.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog dawdled along.

6-48 p.m.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on a stack stone, sipping coffee.
Skylarks sang.
The Gulls laughed.

"See you mate."
They returned to the beach.

A couple with a dog, walked the water's edge.
A couple with a dog walked the strand-line.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked somewhere between the two.
The beach was vast.
People walked their own beach stories.
Weaving here and there.
A lady with the unmistakable laugh of a heavy smoker passed by.
It was one of those laughs that almost inevitably turns into a cough.

Beach Buoy paused.
He faced the sea as if searching but his eyes were shut tightly.
The wind whispered the meaning of life.
The  secrets of the universe.
The information went as quickly as it came.
Carried on the wind to the waiting Dune Dwellers.

AN IMAGINED POST CARD FROM SEATON CAREW.

Hiya, hope you are ok?
Just had a lovely refreshing walk.
The tide was way out.
Loads of space.
Going back for a coffee.
Maybe people-watch the Promenade walkers.
Guess their stories?
There could be a parcel in the shed.
