Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog headed for the beach on foot at 3-20 p.m.
A man push a borrowed lawnmower along the pavement.
As they passed the Cricket Club , Beach Buoy noticed two Union Jack Flags flying at half-mast in the Cricket Club Car Park.
There was a bit of a do in the Club.
Live music rang out; Black Velvet.
Alongside the Promenade, a Pink and White van sold yellow and white ice cream.
More music played from the funfair.
They headed down the beach steps, north of the car park.
Thankfully the tide was well out.
The beach was quite busy.
Lots of space for all.
It was a bright afternoon with a lovely breeze from the south.
Arrows had been drawn in the sand.
They pointed in the direction of the sea
Beach Buoy didn't need any guidance.
They headed south.
Skylarks sang.
A Grandad walked with a grandson along the water's edge.
The Grandad was carrying a short driftwood plank.
The grandson carried a colourful bucket.
A bucket full of shells and memories.
4-06 p.m.
"Afternoon Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on a stack stone.
The two dogs wondered about the dog treat situation.
All was good.
The dogs laid out flat on the sand.
Like Beach Buoy, they looked like they could stay until dark.
"Should have brought sandwiches."
thought Beach Buoy.
Eventually it was time to say
"See you mate."
They had a slow walk back.
Team Muzzled Dog headed for the beach.
Beach Buoy and the dogs headed across the car park.
They passed the Cricket Club.
The singer had just finished Abba's Waterloo.
I will survive came next as the half-mast flags flapped in the breeze.
To be fair the young lady was an excellent singer.
Pitch perfect on the Cricket Pitch.
BEACH BUOY.
