Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived in the van at the beach car park
at 6-38 a.m.
They took a short walk towards the beach access ramp.
"My dog is down there, but it's friendly."
said a man that Beach Buoy had never seen before."
The dog came bounding up the ramp as the two men began to head down.
It was just wanting the man to throw a ball for it.
The man obliged.
"Greyhounds like to run." said Beach Buoy.
"It's half Greyhound, half Doberman." came the reply.
They went their separate ways.
Beach Buoy headed south pondering....
Doberhound?
Greyman?
It was overcast.
There was a fresh breeze from the north.
The tide was well out.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.
The 7 a.m. club and Team Distant Wave were up ahead.
One group walked the water's edge, the other the strand-line.
Beach Buoy chatted the the distant wave group as they returned north.
The 7 a.m. club came by next.
They chatted too.
A jogger jogged.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was 7-04 a.m.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy sat with a coffee and Another Dog.
He watched waves break over Headland Pier.
After a while they headed back.
Mr Gunn/Nunn came by as he and Alfie headed south.
They chatted about life, then said farewell.
Up to the north, Team Muzzled Dog were just arriving onto the beach.
A metal detectorist......
Slow walk back.
It began to rain.
The rain came, as did passers by.
Beach Buoy sat in the van.
The rain stopped.
Beach Buoy ventured back to the Promenade wall.
The rain had stopped.
The clouds gave a strong hint that there could be more soon.
BEACH BUOY.
