SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 7,MAY,2023.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog reached the beach at 5-36 a.m.
By 5-41 they were at the water's edge.
They had already shared not so distant waves with the man with a rucksack and a Rottweiler.

Team Distant Wave arrived. They were joined by the 4x4 Border Collie Couple.
Beach Buoy couldn't recall the last time that he had seen them on the beach.
The combined group went ahead to the south.

Beach Buoy and the dogs headed south.
The tide was high, the beach narrow.

Today was as grey as yesterday was gold.
A different tone of beauty.

It was overcast.
A dampness seemed to hang in the air.

The 4x4 Border Collie Couple headed up to the dunes, then returned to the north.

Beach Buoy paused.
There was a very slight breeze from the south west.
It seemed to drying the air a little?
The grey sea rolled in.
Beach Buoy counted four crisp white steps out into the bay.

Team Distant Wave had cut through beyond the grey rocks to Camp Distant Wave.

Beach Buoy and the dogs headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.

It was 6-18 a.m.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones
He patted
THE
stone.
He scanned the bay.
Much of it was claimed by mist.
The headland and half of the village where missing.
The Wind Turbines just looked preliminary sketches of the original idea.

"See you mate ."

They returned to the beach.

The 7 a.m. club were up ahead to the north having been and left the south end unseen.

Beach Buoy saw something shiny in the sand.
He pulled a set of keys clear.
He began a slow walk back
A man stood in the shallows watching his two dogs play in the sea.
The very very wet Retriever saw them.
He couldn't hide his excitement as he ran to join them.
Beach Buoy could almost hear the dog say.
"Count me in!"

Beach Buoy rested on the Promenade wall as he waited for Team Distant Wave to return.
He wanted to check that the found keys weren't theirs.
They weren't.

Little Terns provided the entertainment.
The Little Tern Warden passed.
"Morning."
"Morning."

Back to the van.
Borrowed Dog loves the beach.

BEACH BUOY.
