SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL, 17, MAY, 2023.

It had been two years today since Stubborn Dog had died.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach to see their mate and maybe the sea too.
The Village Church Bells rang for 6-45 p.m.
as they went down the beach access ramp.

A lady was about half way down the gentle slope. She reminded Beach Buoy of his grandmother. She was the only birth grandparent he ever knew.
The lady seemed to be watching her younger family have beach fun, waiting for their return?
Beach Buoy imagined the conversation as they had headed to the beach.
"I can't do sand. Not with my knees."

It was mild and overcast.
Some dramatic clouds looked hung out to dry.

They headed south near the strand-line.

The tide was well out.

Am artist with a Greyhound headed north.

Yapping Dogs yapped at the water's edge.

Three fighter jets flew inland.
They roared and seemed to speed up as they crossed from sea to land?

The silence they left behind was deafening.
In a short while the sound of the seaside returned.
The sound of freedom.

It had been an odd week.
To be honest Beach Buoy could quite easily lean against the dune edge and fall fast asleep.

Skylarks sang sweetly.
Beach Buoy listened to their song.

It wasn't a two hood up kind of evening weather-wise.

Two hoods went up, more to suit Beach Buoy's mood.

A Gull flew directly overhead.
Beach Buoy did his Gull whistle.
The bird wasn't fooled not impressed.

A walking jogger travelled northwards.

Beach Buoy looked around the vast beach.
Four people, just four.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog went up to Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Evening Mate.
Love you."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was hard to believe it had been two years since his mate had gone
He'll be up here with him soon enough.
He sat on a large sat stone and replayed the past.............
"See you mate."
He stood up to leave.
He looked vast the stack.
His heart still ached.

Another Dog jumped up onto her back legs.
She rested against Beach Buoy.
His heart melted.
"Love you too."
They headed back along the dune edge.

A human groyne walked the beach below.

Yachts sailed near to The Sea Serpent, like Sharks circling their prey.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed back north near the water's edge.
Three lads sat on a driftwood bench near the dunes.

Little Terns were nearby the sea.
One flew directly in front of Beach Buoy.
He was saddened not to have his camera to hand.
It would have made a great photograph.
The bird has a small fish in its mouth.
It landed next to a nearby Tern and gifted it the fish.
Juvenile birds bonding.

A ship left Port.
FINNLINES.
Beach Buoy imagined a advertising campaign.
"It's a Finnline between success and failure.
We never fail."

They headed back north at a leisurely pace.

BEACH BUOY.
