THURSDAY EVENING 19 AUG 2021, SEATON SANDS, SEATON CAREW, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at

6-28 p.m.

It was overcast.

There was a mild breeze from the east.

A strange man walked the strand line.

No not Beach Buoy, another strange man.

They headed south.

Another Dog hopped from one horse hoof-print to the next.

Another Dog became Meerkat Dog as she watched the Horses ride off into the distance.

A Jack Russell that wasn't called Jack came to say hello.

A lady walked barefoot along the strand line.

She would have looked less out of place by the water's edge.

She swung a shoe in each hand as she headed north.

They headed to

Stubborn Dog Stack.

Beach Buoy placed five beach stones to the pile.

"Evening Mate."

he patted

THE

stone.

They stayed a while with absent friends.

"See you mate, be with you soon enough."

They headed back to the sands, before heading north the van.

Every now and then a random Gull would head out to sea from the direction of the dunes.

The sea curled gently as the waves broke, looking like a turned page of a Sunday supplement on a lazy summer Sunday.

In contrast, a man walked the strand line as he had an argument with his mobile telephone.

Back in the van Beach Buoy photographed the Bits and Bobs.

It's what Tiggers do best.

It began to rain.

The van's windscreen looked like bubblewrap.

The rain was from the east.

BEACH BUOY.

  1. You really have a way with words. The sea curling, the windscreen…… Perfect descriptions. The evenings are drawing in noticeably.

  2. Thank you for saying so. I'm not well-read finding a lot of books use ten words when one would do, if that makes sense?
I had little writing confidence, unsure of correct punctuation and general writing does and don'ts. Writing blog most days and positive comments have given me encouragement. Just thought it best to say things my way. Like my filters photographs, it may not suit everyone.

  3. Doing it your way is the only way. That’s what makes it so good. The other things really don’t matter.

    1. Thank you, hopefully more writing will make it mare readable.

  4. Nice to see the horses, galloping along the beach. Sounds like Ruby was having fun, jumping from hoof print to hoof print. Made me laugh to think of her as a Meerkat. I do wish people wouldn't have arguments in public (whether on their mobile or in person and especially in tranquil places), I really don't want to overhear arguments.
