It was another day off in the gradual return to work after illness.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 5-45 a.m.
As it happens, 5-45 a.m. was around two minutes late for a golden sky.
Beach Buoy had seen the glorious glow in the sky on the way to the beach.
Two smug swimmers stood knee deep in the sea, having watched the sunrise come and go.
So by the time that Beach Buoy and Another Dog were heading south, it was under an overcast sky.
The sunrise swimmers dressed by the water's edge.
Beach Buoy was happy that they had had the sunrise to themselves, apart from the Distant Wave Lady who was down by the North Gare Pier, in the distance.
It was a short walk to the water's edge, thanks to the tide being so high.
Once dressed, the sunrise swimmers went to stand in the sea once more.
Sorrow the Magpie picked at the sand at the dune edge.
They continued south.
There was a dog in the distance, and then it wasn't in the distance at all!
It was the very very wet and very very friendly dog from a previous beach visit.
Wet dog and wags were everywhere.
The sea began to give up the beach as the tide turned.
A Confident Another Dog marched along the water's edge as if in time to a hidden drumbeat.
Beach Buoy gathered some beach stones for Stubborn Dog Stack.
He filled some gaps, patted
THE
stone.
"Morning Mate."
They moved down to the dune edge.
Beach Buoy drank Coffee and popped prescribed pills.
The 7 a.m club came and went.
Time for Beach Buoy and Another Dog to head back....
"See you mate."
*Waves*
They headed back to the north by the water's edge.
Beach Buoy paused to look out to sea.
He took Deep Breaths,
not only the sea air, but the colours shades and sounds too.
He absorbed everything.
A special moment to store and treasure for ever.
Maybe revisit the moment when times not so good?
Two Hook-a -Duck Seagulls both called Bob, floated in the bay.
Others had arrived to see the sea.
The Sea Serpent decided to show up.
After all, it was a lovely morning when all said and done.
Beach Buoy sat in the van, drinking coffee.
A trusting Another Dog was up on the seat sleeping as it laid against Beach Buoy's left leg.
