SATURDAY 28 AUG 2021. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy stayed up late, catching up with the blog.

It was after 1 a.m. when he went to bed.

He was awake by 4-33 a.m.

He faffed around, finally reaching the beach at 6-01 a.m.

The sun popped up shortly afterwards.

Sunrise seekers had made themselves comfortable for the event.

Phones were raised to capture the moment.

It really was just moments, as the sun left the sea and entered the clouds without fully exposing itself to the onlookers.

The Distant Wave Lady and the Bish Bash Bosh Border Collie Couple

were up to the south, chatting.

The tide was well in.

It became overcast.

No coat was required, it was quite mild.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south, the BBB Border Collie couple passed by.

"Morning."

"Morning."

They had all been coming to the beach for years.

It was their first shared "Morning."

A scream came from the north.

It looked like one of the sunrise seekers had morphed into an early morning swimmer who had just found out just how fresh the sea was?

Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south.

The sea rushed in to meet them like a long lost old friend.

Three generations of distant wave ladies approached with Hugo the Rescue Dog.

Beach Buoy made a fuss of Hugo as Another Dog was handed over for closer inspection and a cuddle.

Mari the Poodle joined the mix.

"Bye."

"Bye."

A Cormorant  flew north at quite a height, which is unusual around these parts.

Out in the open sea, a jack up rig rocked violently from side to side.

It is more of a barge than a ship design, which can cut through the water.

The Rig just rocked as it headed for Hartlepool.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for

Stubborn Dog Stack.

Beach Buoy added some beach stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
"Morning Mate."
They stood and watch the jack up Rig rock and roll into Port.
"See you Mate."
They headed back.

The rig reached Port.
Beach Buoy collected a Plastic Drum with around 20 metres of rope attached to drag to the Promenade Bin.

Four Oyster Catchers flew south, just offshore.

Like someone watching a sad movie, the beach was filling up.

A Metal Detectorist searched for someone else's loss.
Upon reaching the Promenade, the beach clean items were duly placed in the bin.

Beach Buoy reached the van.
Ben Gunn had just parked up ready to head to the beach.
They discussed the beach.
Ben had recently found a large nut on the beach,
no not Beach Buoy.
Ben wore flamboyant spectacles.
Looking more like Wilf Nunn than Ben Gunn.
A nice chap.

Beach Buoy had Coffee with Spotty-toasted fruit loaf.

Beach Buoy popped back outside to chat to a relative who does early beaches too.

The man who walks the perimeter of the car park  again and again, wearing white headphones, walked the car park perimeter, wearing white headphones, again.

A lady jogger, jogged on the promenade looking like a dressage horse, as she almost trotted northwards.

Beach Buoy ate breakfast as Rita the Meter Maid did the rounds.

Time to go........

Beach Buoy had refurbished the Cycle Rack.

He tried the bike on for good measure.

Beach Buoy went to watch

Hartlepool United.

It was good to see a full away end; 980 Carlisle United fans.

Thankfully a million miles away from the National League, with at times 30 or so away supporters.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog returned to the beach at 7p.m.

It was warm and sunny.

There was  some faint clouds; most looking angelic.

It was a typical, end-of -a- sunny-weekend day down by the sea.

A Yellow Inflatable Dingy was being dragged from the sea, a Yellow Surf Board too.

Mams sat by the towels waiting for children to return after squeezing the sunny day dry.

A Ballerina Cloud headed south as did Beach Buoy an Another Dog.

There was a refreshing breeze off the sea.

That welcome breeze, carried faint sea spray from the nearby breaking waves.

It was pleasant.

By the time that they were halfway along the dunes, the North of the beach was theirs.

"Evening Mate."

Beach Buoy placed beach stones on to the stack.

Beach Buoy placed Another Dog onto the dune sand.

The little lazy dog had been carried in the beach bag most of the way.

Beach Buoy patted

THE

stone.

"See you tomorrow Mate."

They headed back to the beach, heading North by the water's edge.

Another Dog marched like a clockwork toy, seemingly keen to return to the van.

The back-shift beach-goers had clocked on.

A double-yoke sunset, fried on a low gas as they left the beach.

BEACH BUOY.
