TUESDAY 17 AUG 2021. SEATON SANDS, SEATON CAREW, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy and Borrowed Dog

reached the car park at 6-31 p.m.

Another Dog was having a night off.

The weather was mild.

The Wind Turbines in the Bay hardly bothered  to turn.

People in t-shirts and shorts were leaving the beach as people with coats were heading out.

A few random spots of rain had urged precautions.

There was no need.

It turned out to be a canny evening.

They walked midway between the strand line and the sea.

They crossed lines of sand, shingle, sand and shingle.

Small black flies looked like sea coal with rhythm.

Families stood at the water's edge photographing memories of children and dogs.

A determined lady  with a backpack headed south, overtaking Beach Buoy as she did so.

It made Beach Buoy realise just how slowly he was still walking.

They rested on the

MM

driftwood bench, a couple of hundred metres short of the stack for a sit and think with the emphasis on

sit.

Borrowed Dog is ten times more friendly than he looks and he already looks very very friendly.

Rested, they headed for Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Evening Mate."

He placed some stones on the stack, before patting

THE

stone.

They stood.

Borrowed Dog misses Stubborn Dog too, so it was nice to be able to fetch him up here to sit with his friend and playmate for a while.

Beach Buoy recalled starting the stack ages and ages ago.

He would sit with Stubborn Dog, thinking the time for it use would be years away.

It will always be too soon.

"See you later Mate."

They headed back down to the beach.

They headed back.

The backpack lady overtook them once more, this time heading north.

Beach Buoy and Borrowed Dog were more like

 Deputy Dawdle and Musky.

A man squatted at the water's edge to photograph the waves.

He phone camera at sea level plus a squatting man.

They headed back to the van.

Another two VW vans were parked nearby.

There was a blue T4 parked behind this colourful T25.

Beach Buoy's white van suddenly felt a little under dressed.

The owners of the colourful van, sat at the back looking out to sea.

If the "Mermaid" Lady from the other day was to be a van, then this would be it.
