Beach Buoy had gone to bed after 1 a.m.
A Pillow fight took place.
Not the fun type of pillow fights with feathers and giggles scattered on the floor.
It was the best of three falls, a submission or a knock out.
If Beach Buoy was knocked out, he had came round again at 2-45 a.m.
He was up.
At 5-50 a.m. he went to collect Borrowed Dog, as he was dog-sitting him for a week.
The three
(Another Dog was riding shotgun.)
headed for an overcast beach.
They all headed south as if they were off to see the Wizard.
They stopped short of doing that little skippy dance thing.
Walking was enough effort.
Beach Buoy was a distance short of 100 %.
Back to the North, the beach looked fairly quiet.
The distant wave lady was way down south with company and her large, but friendly dog.
The three headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy had collected a few beach stones.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy placed the beach stones as he always will.
He patted
THE
stone
as he always will.
Meanwhile, Another Dog had decided, once again, to go in search of Stubborn Dog.
They stayed a while.
Beach Buoy looked out to sea, watching Gannets drop from the sky.
Borrowed Dog sniffed and peed.
Another Dog just dug.
Time to go.
"See you mate."
Beach Buoy smoothed the digging lines with his good foot; the left, the right being attached to a slightly aching leg.
They headed back.
Another Dog is no Stubborn Dog replacement.
She is herself.
But... you may notice the slack on her dog lead.
She is just walking alongside, no sand skiing.
They met a three-man strong 7 a.m club.
Beach Buoy passed Another Dog over to the cheery club members.
"Love the smell of Puppies."
said one as he took a sniff of Another Dog.
Beach Buoy held Borrowed Dog at bay whilst he made a fuss of
Mari, the Poodle with a free hand.
They went their separate ways.
Chocolate Pudding
aka Rosebud
and her owner stopped for a short chat before heading to play catch up with the 7 am club.
Beach Buoy and the two dogs headed for the van...
