WED 04 AUG 2021. SEATON SANDS.

Beach Buoy had been to work.

He, Borrowed and Another Dog arrived at the car park at 6-40 p.m.

It was mild and very muggy.

It was bright but there was a thick cloud cover.

Perfect!

all they really did need was

 a 99 TOG cloud blanket.

A strange light shone down on the Village.

Three Horses had been stage-managed into standing at the bottom of the access ramp for a photo shoot,

They had been positioned from left to right, tallest to shortest.

Each horse had a size-specific rider to match.

Beach Buoy glanced back to the North as he headed south.

The breeze was from the south west.

The Wind Turbines had all turned to look.

There was a Royal Blue Tent had set up on the dune edge.

Tent flaps tied back, to give the occupants a perfect sea view.

A sports group leader marked out a large rectangle on the beach with a dragging heel as youngsters watched.

Whenever Beach Buoy saw sports group leaders like this, it reminded him of the

"Bobby Charlton."

School Teacher

in

the film

KES.

All but one, ran end to end of the beach-marked rectangle.

The odd man out was stood, as if trapped by a ring of plastic bottles.

Casper?

Beach Buoy gathered some beach stones before heading to the stack.

"Evening Mate."

He placed the beach finds on

Stubborn Dog Stack, then patted

THE

stone.

Someone had placed a shell "flower" circle,

near to the stack.

They headed down to the dune edge for a sit and think.

They sat there, thinking and sniffing.

By the time they said

"See you mate."

The sports team were heading back to the car park.

No doubt

"Bobby Charlton."

scored a hat-trick,

the second goal was never offside.

Odd thing is  they didn't even play football....

As Beach Buoy headed back  he noticed a distant line of birds out in the bay.

The line went from bold to faint and back again.

The line went from north to south and back again.

The line went from faint to bold and back again.

The line went from west to east and back again.

Eventually the line formed a flying V; they were gone.

Beach Buoy and the dogs hugged the water's edge as they walked the slow walk back.

Three Little Terns flew overhead,

they looked like they had been sketched by the sharpest pencil in the world.

Ribbons of Brown seaweed seemed to almost carpet sections of the beach ahead.

Back in the van.

Coffee.

Beach Buoy dug out the new addition to the van; a small but useful

USB fan to help cool the air.

Or at the very least move the warm air around a little.

The three photogenic horses appeared up the access ramp, they left the beach in order of height.

Tall to small.
