THURSDAY 29, JULY 2021. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy had gone to bed well after midnight.

He woke at 2-22 a.m.

He fought pillows.

He may have nodded off ?

It was 4-21 a.m. when he looked at his mobile phone to check the time.

By 4-50 a.m........

Beach Buoy, two thermal cups of coffee and Another Dog were parked up in the beach car park.

An overnight-stay HGV had his sidelights on, ready to start another trip.

As Beach Buoy sipped hot coffee from one of the thermal cups, he weighed up the pros and cons of taking a raincoat.

Beach Buoy looked up to the sky, trying to judge the chances of rain, as he did so, a Police Car entered the car park.

The Police vehicle did a slow sweep of the large rectangular car park., before heading off.

It was Another Dog's first beach visit.

The Little Dog had managed to walk around half way to

Stubborn Dog Stack before Beach Buoy scooped her up and placed her inside his coat.

They carried on like this for a short while.

Beach Buoy placed the plucky pup back onto the beach.

A camera-shy Seal appeared from time to time as they continued south.

Beach Buoy collected a couple of stones from the beach, near the strand line.

They headed for Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Morning Mate."

He placed the recently collected beach stones onto the stack.

He went to pat

THE

stone.

There was Another Dog digging.....

It had not dug anywhere else on the beach walk.

It hadn't been prompted to dig.

It was about as close as it could be to the location of Stubborn Dog's ashes.

The ashes are way down, over a metre, covered with stones. They, in turn are covered with a cap stone, before being back-filed with sand.

Another Dog in search of Stubborn Dog?

"See you later mate."

They headed back.

The Distant Wave Lady spotted the pup.

The 7 a.m. club had told her about losing Stubborn Dog and the stack.

She made a fuss of the pup.

Beach Buoy made a fuss of her large rescue dog.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed north.

The distant wave lady, her mother and the rescue dog headed to the south.

As they approached the north end of the beach, rays of sunlight broke through the overcast horizon.

Beach Buoy sat in the van with Another Dog as he drank coffee from the second thermal cup.
It had been her first beach day, an odd day, what with all the digging up at Stubborn Dog Stack.
The little dog seemed to look back at him through knowing eyes.

Beach Buoy spotted a one-man 7 a.m. club heading for the access ramp with Mari the Poodle and her sidekick.
Beach Buoy picked up the little dog.
"Just to let you know, it's Another Dog."
"Aw I'm so pleased for you."
She was introduced to Mari, her owner and the little white sidekick.
Beach Buoy made a fuss of the Big friendly Poodle; that won't change.

The lady who checks the returned coins trays in the parking meters did just that.

BEACH BUOY.
