SATURDAY 06 AUG 2021.SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog reached the beach

 at 5-33 a.m.

Two people sat in an Audi, watching the sunrise.

There was a breeze from the east.

The sun came up.

The bright sun highlighted the fact that the council had wasted no time in scraping clean the first vacated  Little Tern nest site.

They had taken away the recently formed dune-type areas too, where the Marram grass had been able to grow due to lack of disturbance.

The area was now flat, apart from tractor tyres marks.

They walked down to the water's edge.

The sun had got its hat on, socks too.

It slipped behind a cloud to continue dressing in privacy.

Hopefully it wouldn't decided to wear a raincoat.

As it turned out, the sun reappeared fully dressed, sporting designer sunglasses.

The distant wave lady was south, up near North Gare Pier....

Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south, the little dog had decided to travel by beach bag.

It wan't long before the distant wave lady's dog spotted them.

It bounded over.

Beach Buoy made a fuss of the big friendly rescue dog.

The distant wave lady and a companion approached

"Aw, look at her."

she said, as she spotted Another Dog in the beach bag.

"Can I take a photo, to show my daughter?"

"Of course."

Photographs were taken.

Beach Buoy learnt that the distant wave lady's dog was called Hugo.

Knock knock

Who's there?

Hugo

Hugo who?

Hugo to the beach much?

Goodbyes were said.

They continued on alone, along the water's edge.

Another Dog was enjoying the ride.

Beach Buoy headed to Stubborn Dog Stack with the above stones, plus a few others.

"Morning Mate."

Beach Buoy stuck a finger in the dune sand adding

"Love you."

Borrowed Dog sniffed at the stack as Another Dog dug around it.

They stayed with the missing friend for a while.

"See you later mate, really really miss you."

They headed down to the beach.

The driftwood stick family were stood enjoying the view.

They had a grand time.

A small fishing boat was working just off the river mouth.

Gannets dropped  from all around.

It almost looked as if the boat was under attack!

They headed north.

The met up with the 7 a.m. Club.

Another Dog was back in the beach bag by now.

"Aw, how lovely."

Fuss was made over Another Dog and Mari the Poodle too.

They headed back to the van.

Others left the beach too.

Another Dog slept as coffee was drank.

Beach Bits and Bobs were recorded as beach regulars arrived and left as if by clockwork.

The cyclists, turning at the end of the promenade.

One lady had her cycle seat way too low.

The 7 a.m club appeared up the access ramp,

they placed the beach clean items in the promenade bins.

They headed  north on the promenade.

Four men with four dogs.

A lone lady walked as far as the information boards, before pausing to read them.

Puffs of grey billowed  from her as she exhaled her vape smoke.

Beach Buoy reached for the second thermal cup of coffee.

It was as welcome as the first.

Raindrops began to fall on side windows of the van.

Two men headed down the access ramp, litter picking grabs in hand.

You can't judge a book by its cover but they did look like the last men in the world that you would expect to see doing a beach clean.

The mobile covid test van rolled into the car park.

The Hungry Seagull arrived.

Beach Buoy left.

Due to illness, the van had its first wash and wax for almost two months.
