SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 13, JUNE 2023.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 6-45 p.m.

When they arrived. yet another dog walking couple were reading the awful dog ban signage.

Beach Buoy explained the situation.

At the bottom of the beach access ramp, a small group of scouts were frying sausages

Three and a dog headed for the sea.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.

Two metal detectorists headed back to the car park
They found a car.

The tide was well out.
Plenty of space for all.
There was a glorious breeze from the east.

A couple headed to the sea
Shoes in one hand.
Each other in the other.

Two young lads kicked a silver football ahead of them as they walked
It looked like a giant ball bearing.
At each kick, Beach Buoy was expecting a comedy limp from the lads.

Some people walked ankle deep on the sea.
Other choose to picnic on along the dune edge.

7-11 p.m.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He had a coffee, a sit and a think.
Beach Buoy clasped his hands together.
He shut his eyes as the sun warmed his face.
It was one of those times that you almost don't want to open your eyes and break the spell.

Abracadabra.
Another Dog was asleep as she lay on the dune sand.

Time to go.
"See you mate."
It was 7-27 p.m.

Beach Buoy looked back.
Pausing, his sunshine shadow patted
THE
stone in a shadow-puppet style.

They returned to the beach.

The breeze had gone.
It was becoming warmer as the evening went on.
Sand became shingle.
Shingle became sand.

To the north horses went from sea to strand-line.
Matchstick people played matchstick football.
What a match.

BEACH BUOY.
