5-50 a.m.
There was one car in the car park.
It meant that the very very wet retriever was on the beach.
To the north, five sunrise seekers stood by the sea. To the south, up ahead a very very wet retriever ran from owner to sea and back again repeatedly.
The sun rose.
Beach Buoy and the very very wet retriever's owner exchanged distant waves.
The sun only stayed visible for around nine minutes before heading for the security of the cloud cover.
"Morning Mate."
He added stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on a stack stone, drinking coffee.
"Yes, Ruby we have Dog treats."
Beach Buoy watched a ship that was almost a boat, head to the river.
The sun may have gone but there was still some glorious light combinations.
The distant wave lady appeared on the beach below the stack.
They chatted briefly.
One on the beach , the other up on a raised dune edge.
They said farewell.
"See you mate "
They walked the dune edge back to the north.
The beach was too narrow.
Two Tugs edged a barge into The River Tees.
The beach was filling up.
Similar folk chatted to similar folk.
A spot of rain fell.
A slightly quicker walk back...
Beach Buoy moved the van to another car park.
The rain took hold.
BEACH BUOY.
