A message.
Beach Buoy went to the beach with a Queen on the throne.
By the time he headed back up the beach access ramp, we had a King.
He saw her once, at Middleton of all places.
Riding home from work on his motorbike.
He was an apprentice in Middleton.
The Queen wore light green. It was just a glimpse.
Oddly, years later he was leaving work in Thornaby-on-Tees, a Royal car passed.
Another Glimpse, this time Charles and Diana.
So here is the beach walk.
A, do you remember where you where beach walk?
Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived
at 5-58 p.m.
Beach Buoy sat in the van a while.
He was a bit frazzled.
Three young lads cycled along the promenade.
They applied the brakes quickly.
One of them had detected a discarded vape wand.
He picked it up, wiped it and then tried it.
🤢
The three friends took it in turn to use it.
They cycled to the end of the promenade before disappearing into the dunes.
A couple of parking spaces along, a man sat in a BMW with a baseball cap and a bad taste in music.
Rain clouds were all around.
Beach Buoy reached for his orange coat.
He hadn't worn his coat for a while.
Two hoods went up as they headed for the water's edge.
Over the years it had become much more than a coat.
A security blanket that you can wear outside.
He has had the coat for many many many years.
It still fits!
"Must have been baggy when l bought it?"
thought Beach Buoy
The hoods were more for the world than the weather.
The tide was well out.
The sky was full of different shades of grey.
There was a narrow strip of light on the horizon.
One person walked the strand-line.
A distant ship seemed to squeeze into the gap.
There was a mild breeze from the north.
The two hoods came down.
They headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Beach Buoy looked out to sea,
like some proud Dad watching his child do well at a sports event
"See you mate."
They headed back to the beach.
The beach was very quiet.
Beach Buoy had been into town earlier.
It was raining there, but not at
"Sunny" Seaton Carew.
Perhaps the people of Hartlepool thought rain was falling on the beach too?
The life boat went to check on the sea serpent.
All was ok.
A lonely lone gull stood at the water's edge.
A brown and white Spaniel called Dennis came over to say hello.
On a scale of one to very very wet, he was a wet.
He wagged as he ran over.
He wagged as he ran off.
It really did seem unusually quiet.
They continued their slow and almost eerie walk back.
As the crossed the strand-line m, heading back to the van.
A thought crossed Beach Buoy's mind;The Queen.
Earlier in the day her family had been called to be with her.
Beach Buoy reached for his phone
BBC news.
"QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND HAS DIED."
They headed back to the van.
To a Kingdom with a King.
Rest in peace.
Thank you for the stability.
BEACH BUOY.
