WED. . 29 SEPT 2021 , A day off. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. HARTLEPOOL HEADLAND TOO.

It was a day off.

Beach Buoy went to pick up a workmate who needed a lift in to work today.

It was 6-05 a.m.

Lift done, they were in the car park at 6-35.

In the half light, Beach Buoy could see a man wearing headphones walk the car park.

Mr Gunn / Nunn pulled up alongside and headed for the beach with his little dog.

A Jogger dressed in all black ran the Promenade looking like a shadow on the run.

Beach Buoy sipped coffee from his thermal mug.

The silhouette of Saltburn appeared to the south as the light increased.

He looked out to sea.

The light blues and greys of the sea and sky looked like an oil painting.

Chocolate Pudding and her owner headed for the access ramp.

Off to catch the 7 a.m. club up.

Two male swimmers climbed out of their cars and stripped down to  swimming trunks.

They headed down the access ramp, just trunks, and a towel scarf draped over their shoulders.

One wore blue, the other, the more flamboyant of the two, sported trunks that looked like a recycled flowery shower curtain.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for the beach.

There was a slight chill on the breeze from the east.

They headed south.

The 7 a.m. club were down near the water's edge heading back to the north.

Chocolate Pudding had caught them up, joint their ranks.

Her owner gave a distant wave.

Beach Buoy mirrored the wave.

They passed a large patch of fairly deep sea coal,

It comes and goes like people.

A flame-haired lady with a multi-coloured dog was down by the water's edge.

The multi-coloured dog came to say hello.

The owner followed.

They chatted.

The dog was a year old and very friendly.

"See you later.'

"Bye."

The lady and her dog stayed on that part of the beach.

Playing at the water's edge.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for

Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Morning Mate."

Beach Buoy added the beach stones that he had collected.

He patted

THE

stone.

"Bye Mate."

The headed back to the beach.

They began a slow walk back.

The sun decided to show up.
It cast shadows of their former summer selves ahead of them.

An Orange-Hoodied Jogger passed , heading south.
Looking like an exact opposite of a shadow.

The sun and clouds complimented one another.

They headed back to the van.

A Young Border Collie came to investigate.

They headed off.

They had stuff to do.

It was lovely day.

Beach Buoy, Another Dog and Borrowed Dog headed for Hartlepool Headland.

Fish and Chips in the van.

A cup of van tea.

Then off for a walk.

The Town Wall, with The Fish Sands beyond.

All the worlds a stage.

Another van tea.

They headed off.

They had stuff to do.

At 6-13 p.m.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog were back at Seaton Sands.

It was bright and breezy.
The breeze coming from the north west.
Soft sand had been blown onto the wet, tidal sand.
It was like walking on frosted snow.

They headed for the water's edge.
A Jogger passed, heading south with his Dalmatian Dog trotting behind.
Another Dog sat to watch the pair pass.
They headed off as Another Dog looked at Beach Buoy as if to say, "Now I want some pyjamas like that!"

They headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Evening Mate."

He patted

THE

stone.

He added others.

Beach Buoy looked at the sea and sky.

The sky was mainly clear.

There was a line of cloud along the horizon as though  a steam train had just travelled along it.

A tiring Sun tinted the white smoke a shade of pink.

They began a slow walk back.

"See you mate."

A swimmer swam in the half light and the sea too.

He towed a bright yellow float behind him.

A Metal detectorist dug nearby, his little black watched intently.

It looked over to Beach Buoy and Another Dog as if to say

"Two years he has had this, not one single bone!"

They headed off.

They had stuff to do.

BEACH BUOY.
