FRIDAY,10 SEPT 2021.SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL .

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach car park at 7-10 p.m.

It was very mild.

Earlier, rain had danced with rainbow ribbons, in and around the Bay.

Random people were scattered around, like broken fenceposts on a neglected field of gold.

A young lad did practise runs at his skimboard on the beach.

Mermaids were still just offshore playing on that driftwood see-saw.

They headed south.

A man walked and beach-fished at the same time.

"Evening Mate."

he patted

THE

stone, before adding smaller of the same.

The light was fading as a Blue and White Ship came out of the Tees.

A man and a Rusty Dog headed north, passing below the stack as they

did so.

The man walked.

The dog was constantly in and out of the water.

No wonder it was rusty.

"See you mate."

It was time to go tonight.

Beach Buoy waved to the stack from the beach as he always does but doesn't always say so.

The young lad had moved to the shallow with his skim board.

He glided along in the gloom.

The baton passed from
Sun to Moon.
It's hanging there
above the Dune.

BEACH BUOY.

  1. I always enjoy your vision of the beach with the mermaids, the Sea Serpent and the ghosts of sailors passed. Another world.

  3. Love the camera shots of the sky, sea and sand. Poetic writing again - baton had passed from sun to moon and it's hanging there above the dune. I also, enjoy your comments about sea serpents and mermaids, but the seesaw to me looks like a snake or Seaton's very own version of the Loch Ness Monster. Perhaps, Seaton could advertise on Tyne Tees Tonight or BBC Look North that a north east equivalent of Nessie has been discovered?
