Beach Buoy and Another Dog had reached Seaton Park at 8-28 a.m.
As Beach Buoy faffed at the side door of the van, a tall elderly man walked by.
"Morning."
"Morning."
It looked like he was off to collect the Sunday paper?
But you never know.
Finally ready, they went under the Gull archway at the park gate.
On crossing the road, Beach Buoy could see Rita the Meter Maid heading north along
The Front.
She checked a nearby meter for returned coins without even stopping.
As she passed, Beach Buoy heard the little metal door swing.
The door on the tray for returned coins.
She left empty-handed.
Off to the next meter.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed down the access ramp.
A lady sat at the bottom of the ramp, talking to her small bulldog.
It was overcast and cold.
There was just a slight breeze from the south west but the air was biting.
The Sauna was set up on the beach,
up against The Esplanade Wall, near to the Splash Pad.
People were going from sauna to sea and sea to sauna.
Team one black ear were up ahead.
They chatted.
Cold Hands and football the topics.
Beach Buoy fussed the dogs
Milo the borrowed Labrador who has out stayed his welcome and Hugo, the dog with one black ear.
They went their separate ways.
"I'm not going for a swim today!" joked Team One Black Ear as he left...
Beach Buoy had two hoods up.
He pulled up the zips on hoodie and coat as far as they would go.
They continued southwards.
Up ahead, a Loss of Metal Detectorists grazed like sheep.
Sea Pottery
It will have been
GINGER
BEER.
Beach Buoy gathered five stones.
Sandstone..he had decided that the stack was becoming too grey.
A Beagle ran to say hello.
It's owner, a tall man, gave chase as he apologised.
There was no need, all was good.
They walked the low level route to Stubborn Dog Stack.
The frost had gone, but earlier footprints had turned to stone.
"Morning Mate."
It was 9-14.
Oddly the frost had stayed on the driftwood plank with plenty of rust.
Beach Buoy added five yellow stones
He patted
THE
stone.
A man came from the south.
His dog was a Retriever/Red Setter cross.
It was called Winnie.
Stubborn Dog was Winston, sometimes called Winnie.
The two dog owners had a canny chat.
The man and his dog went north along the "easy" route.
"See you mate."
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south along the dune edge.
The Tank Trap Shingle had been kind the last few days.
A Doodle Dog came along the dune edge.
Then it's lady owner.
"Morning."
"Hi."
They reached the shingle as eight men walked the dunes.
Beach Buoy saw them last Sunday too.
Not disappointed golfers after all.
Can you see it?
A tiny sea alley.
.
Waffle.
The tide had gone out enough to allow beach access northwards.
Putting the S and C in Seaton Carew.
Two Oyster Catchers flew towards the river.
More of a Postcard than a Parcel.
The Village of Seaton Carew lay ahead.
The wreck today.
Just coming ashore.
Walking the water's edge.
The sea swimmer's sauna tent.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed back to the van.
BEACH BUOY.
