VANS AT THE BLUE LAGOON 28. SEPT. 2024.

Beach Buoy wanted to make use of the van.

Goodness knows it has cost a fortune in the last couple of months.

He had brought lunch.

Lots of others vans were there too.
Obviously, someone let it slip that Beach Buoy was turning up.
😂

He made a coffee.
He had warm corned beef and potato pasties and sausage rolls.

Who'd have guessed...

He swiveled the passenger seat around.
Radio on.
Switch off and relax.

More vans turned up.
Small powered surf boards were carried around.

They set off for the beach.

They cut through some dunes.

The tide was high.
The waves looked perfect for surfers.

The incoming tide goes between the North and South Gares before spreading out like an open fan.

The boards were odd looking things.
A blade and a motor underneath a small board.
They zipped here, there and everywhere.

Another Dog  doesn't like water
She misjudged her route.
She stood in shock
Up to her shoulders in a deep rock pool.
She dried in the warm sun.

Beach Buoy sat, eyes shut, face aimed at the sun
It's warmth felt good as did the gentle breeze that blew.
He opened his eyes to see a butterfly.
He wondered if it will be the last of the year
It could be his last one ever ?

Beach Buoy  sat watching the surfers.
It reminded him of the day he turned up to find the rivermouth full of colourful kite surfers.

They headed back to the van.

"Yer mate... My board is in for repair..."

Sleep for Another Dog.
