SEATON SANDS 19 JULY 2019

Stubborn Dog waiting in the van whilst resting on his van bed....Waiting for Beach Buoy to stop faffing on, getting ready for the beach.

6-50 pm
Beach o'clock.
Rain and possibly thunder were mentioned but never came today.
The sky seemed to back up the forecast as they wandered down to the water's edge.

Beach Buoy liked how the sky just above The Headland was similar to that of the sand and that the clouds matched the sea.

The tide had not long turned and was off out once again.
Once again on an almost empty beach, a Dad and lad headed down to the sea with a brightly coloured bucket and spade.
The only other person nearby at the time was a man throwing a stick into the sea for his dog to chase; they later headed for the dunes.
As the tide had just turned there was only a narrow distance between the strand line and the water's edge, much of this was covered in camouflage coloured seaweed.

As they headed south along the edge of the North Sea, some of the Little Terns would join them.
Beach Buoy could see them so clearly.
The birds looked so small and delicate, they must weigh next to nothing.
One  flew back north with a small silvery fish hanging from its beak.
Beach Buoy made some notes in his sand coloured note book.
He unintentionally  forgot to stuff the book backing his beach bag and ended walking along holding the book in one hand as a Priest would a Bible.
Beach Buoy had made up a form of shorthand for his notes but they don't take  too much working out...
WE... water's edge
SS... Sea Serpent
LT... Low tide
HT... High Tide
BB... Beach Buoy
SD... Stubborn Dog
C... Sea
N... North
S... South
NGP.. North Gare Pier
OOAS... Octopus on a Surfboard...

Ok that one is still to be used.

Too soon they headed back.
The beach was still quite quiet but the car park was busy.
