SATURDAY 13 JULY 2019,... SEATON SANDS ... TAKE TWO

Beach Buoy had done an early morning beach.
By evening rain came... droplets had formed on the regularly waxed van.
The Sun came out and so did Beach Buoy.
After a short drive to the Beach Car Park  the dashboard was saying that it was 1958
but it was a VW  Van not a Delorean so it just meant two minutes to 8pm.
Black-headed Gulls strutted  around the Car Park,
they looked like they had donned Balaclavas, ready to do a heist; The Great Chip Robbery?
Beach Buoy doesn't know much about bird types so he did a little research and was surprised at how many Gull types are seen in the UK.

Mediterranean Gull.
Herring Gull
The hard of Herring Gull.. goes around calling "Pardon?☺️
Yellow-legged Gull
Iceland Gull
Glaucous Gull
Common Gull
Lesser Black-backed Gull
Greater Black-backed Gull
Lesser Flat-packed Gull .. although these are self assembly. Do check that you have all of the parts if you should buy one, as many packs have a leg missing... you may have seen one of these Gulls?☺️.

They clambered out of the Van, then it began.....
People sat in their cars watching the promenade show, so Stubborn Dog decided it was time for that comedy duo; Drag & Carry.
He wouldn't budge!
This comedy duo were no stand up comedians, more your lay flat type.
Eventually they reached the beach and Stubborn Dog walked normally; well..... normally for him!

The sun had headed for Saltburn and Staithes, leaving cloud in its wake.

It looked like the rain may return; it didn't.

They headed south.
The tide was well out.
They passed a Lone Fisherman. It was him, them and a jogger, that was it on the beach tonight.
Down by the North Gare, around a dozen gulls..
 (take pick from list above)
ran around as though they were chasing an invisible football.
Like school kids they were all in one area; midfield.
None were on the wing☺️.
It was canny evening with a lovely fresh breeze off the sea.

They wandered up into the dunes.
A Rusting Oil Rig decayed beyond the dunes.

They did a bit of a dune walk on the way back.

The earlier rain had brought the snails out.
It can't be easy for a Snail on the sand?

The maker marks the home of  The Sea Serpent.

They passed the Lone Fisherman

Back to the North and the van...

New drinks bottle and an old dashboard Monkey.
