Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived in the beach car park at 6-40 p.m.
It was warm and bright with a lovely fresh breeze from the south.
Beach Buoy had noted that the golf club flag was at half-mast once again.
As they headed down the access ramp, a Dad and lad were just leaving the beach with a metal detector for company.
The tide was well out.
It was nowhere near as busy as Beach Buoy had expected.
As they headed to the sea, a man with a waggy-tailed Spaniel were off to the car park.
For them, it was time to go.
A rouge cloud came to claim the sun.
Beach Buoy read messages written in the sand.
DONTAE
&
GRANDAD.
So many Sand Martins flew by it almost looked like a Starling's murmaration.
Oyster Catchers had gathered at the water's edge
Gulls searched the strand-line.
They headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He had a sit and think.
He pulled up his hood; a one man tent.
Hood up or not, it was wonderful having Another Dog for company.
"See you mate."
The went to join the birds on the beach.
The Sea Serpent.
Bookend Fishermen tried their luck, beach fishing.
They headed back slowly.
They were passed by seven men, walking and talking.
