SEATON CAREW HARTLEPOOL 18 AUG. 2022.

It was a mild breeze from the west that rippled the half-mast golf club flag.

A blue VW van left as they arrived in the car park.

It was around 7 p.m...give or take  when they parked up.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for the beach access ramp.

Four joggers turned army the southern end of the of the promenade.

"That's exactly four miles."

said one of the joggers.

*Well anyone could say that "thought Beach Buoy.

It was overcast.
The tide seemed to be as much in as it was out.

They headed south with a warm breeze for company.
Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog walked midway between the strand-line and the water's edge.

A few spots of rain fell as they headed down to the sea.
To the south a dip in the sands proved to be a popular feeding spot for a number of species of birds.
A shoreline supper.

At the river mouth, between the Gares, four tugs waited for a large inbound  to arrive.

They headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy patted
THE
stone.
He added more
It was 6-48 p.m.
Beach Buoy sat on a large stack stone with two dogs and a thermal flask of coffee for company.
He sat and watched the ship, with the help of the tugs head up the river.
The strong but warm breeze blew on his back.

A Sand Martin flew by, just above Beach Buoy.
The bird turned as it raised a wing, as if to say "Hi, still here " or maybe it was goodbye.
😢
It was one of those coffees that hit the button.
Beach Buoy felt refreshed.
Even random raindrops on his neck felt wonderful.
Beach Buoy stood up.
He scooped up his little mate.
He pointed to the different areas seen from their vantage point, giving an information packed talk as he did so.
The little dog just stared.

"See you mate."
They took aim at the beach below.

They had a slow walk back.

To the North, people stayed close to or in the sea.

Beach Buoy had a wander around the Bus Station looking for photograph opportunities.
