08 AUG 2022. SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL

Monday.
A day's Holiday.
It was so much of a holiday that Beach Buoy hadn't even noted the time.
It was early.
A confused couple were looking at the comical Dog Ban signage.
It's a joke so confusing.
"It's ok
You can head south. Over the Pier there is another beach too. You can walk as far as the river."
"Thank you."
"The map is rotated 90 degrees, it is so confusing."
" I had sussed it out." said the man, laughing.
Making it obvious to all that he hadn't.
The confused couple went back to their cars to fetch a boy and a dog.
They all headed to the beach.

The tide was way out, beyond The Seaton Carew Wreck.
Only two timbers were on show today.

Around a dozen Sand Martins had left the highs and lows of the dune edge. It was odd but wonderful to see them out over open beach.

The confused family strode along the water's edge.
The young lad had a hopeful small board.
The 7 a.m club were heading back from the south. They cut through the dune edge on a beach clean.
Their paths wouldn't cross today

The Sea Serpent made an appearance.

A vapour trail kiss.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog went to the dunes.
Stubborn Dog Stack time.
Mr. Gunn/ Nunn headed along the beach on his circular walk.

Owner of a very very wet retriever walked the water's edge.
The dog was swimming somewhere!

"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy patted
THE
stone.
He added some beach stones.
He sat on a stack rock, with a view of the sea.
He watched the world go by .
It was around 7 a.m.
That factory buzzer will be buzzing.
Not for Beach Buoy's ears today.
Today he was a free range chicken, not a battery hen.
"See you mate."
They slipped down the sandy slope before heading south.

They walked the edge of the grey rocks.
A very very wet retriever ran up.
It had come from the water's edge.
(Surprise surprise.)
The friendly dog dropped its ball at Beach Buoy's feet.
Beach greeted the dog before throwing the ball towards the sea.

In Sand Martin Corner. The little birds flew like perfectly made paper aeroplanes.

Beach Buoy rested up against a tank trap as he made notes in his beach book.

They headed back .
Beach boots, not work boots.
Beach Bag, not tool bag.
Footprints not blueprints.

BEACH BUOY.
