Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach car park at 6-38 p.m.
Yet another puzzled man stood looking at one of the car parking meters and it's signage.
"It's free after 6."
"Is it?"
"Definitely."
"Cheers mate."
Beach Buoy and Another Dog rested on the promenade wall.
A packed beach was quite daunting.
There was a wonderful breeze from the north, blowing across the bay.
A family walked the water's edge.
The lady had a flamboyant hat and a St. Bernard Dog, a flamboyant breed of dog.
A lady walked the dune edge, near Stubborn Dog Stack.
There was a massive explosion.
The beach shook underfoot.
Beach Buoy couldn't figure out what had happened.
It was only when he climbed the dune edge to reach the stack he saw the source of the explosion.
It was demolition of Redcar Steel Works in progress.
"Evening Mate.'
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
"Evening Mate."
The lady who had been walking the dune edge approached the stack.
She took a photo of the dust cloud.
She asked about the stack.
She asked about Stubborn Dog.
"Did you put all of these stones here?"
"Most of them.
She talked dogs no longer here.
Their ashes were around.
They said farewell.
It was a slow walk back.
The tide was a fair way out.
Still plenty of people to the north end of the beach.
It was 8-40 p.m.
A determined Dad pulled a pushchair along
towards the sea.
