Beach Buoy had gone to bed after 1 a.m.
By 4-50 he was up, making coffee and toast.
Another Dog had bed-head.
She looked like another three hours or so were required?
They reached the beach car park at 5-40 a.m.
Moments later two cars arrived.
A lady and her dog headed for the access ramp.
They headed to the sea.
The tide was well out.
Five sunrise seekers stood nearby.
The 7 a.m. club and distant wave lady were to the south.
Some of the sunrise seekers stood in the sea for the 5-49 sunrise.
They swam north once the sun was clear of the horizon.
A distant dog ran to the strand-line.
It rolled and rolled.
It spotted Beach Buoy and Another Dog.
It came running over.
It was friendly.
It had an old, wise and very sandy face.
They wandered to the strand-line as Beach Buoy searched the scatters of shingle.
A brief chat took place with the 7 a.m. club.
Subject?
The troubles of the world and seals suffering with soft mouth.
They headed for the stack.
"Morning Mate."
He added stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat with coffee and Another Dog.
Beach Buoy raised history hood.
A tiny tent
He watched as the dune grass rippled in the breeze as the 7 a.m. club headed back north
on the beach below.
Two old men looked they were reliving their youth?
They gathered driftwood for a dune edge fire.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog dawdled back to the van.
BEACH BUOY..
