BEACH BUOY AND TWO DOGS ARRIVED 20-26. THE SUN HAD GONE TO SALTBURN, AS IT OFTEN DOES ON AN EVENING. LONG CLOUDS STRETCHED ACROSS THE BAY AS IF IN CELEBRATION OF THE LONGEST DAY. |
A SMALL DARK BOAT CROSSED THE BAY FROM RIGHT TO LEFT... SOUTH TO NORTH. SPILLS OF SEA SPREAD IN FILLING UP THE LOW LYING AREAS OF THE CONSTANTLY CONTOURED BEACH. |
DOG TWO LOOKED UP TO THE DUNES, WHERE AROUND TWENTY TEENAGERS STOOD; TALKING. THE SUN HAD RETURNED FROM SALTBURN AND GILDED THE BEACH AT SEATON CAREW. |
BEACH BUOY STOPPED AND STOOD. FACING THE SUN. |
IN HEAVEN, IT WOULD ALWAYS BE THE LONGEST DAY. THERE WOULD BE SEA, SAND, SUN AND A DOG. BEACH BUOY. |
