24, JAN. 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 Saturday afternoon.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog parked up in Seaton Park to make use of the free parking.

They headed down the beach hut ramp.

It was 2-54.

The tide was well out.

The wreck was on show once more.

It was a bright afternoon .

There was a strong wind from the south east.

The wreck.

An old friend.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

There was quite a selection.

Even from the wreck, Beach Buoy could see that the No.5 Buoy was still to the south end of the beach.

They headed towards it.

Beach Buoy zoomed in with his phone camera.
Seeing someone next to the Buoy made it clear just how big the Buoy was.

A couple were next to visit it.

The posts at Stubborn Dog Stack as seen from the beach below.
Beach Buoy was off to see the Buoy first.

Maybe a better choice of photograph?

There was a massive chain attached to the Buoy.

It looked like the green flashing unit had been removed?

Maybe too many photographs?
It won't be around long.

North Gare Pier in the background.

The chain had a heavy rope attached.

One Chain link was bigger than Beach Buoy's hand.

Beach Buoy followed the rope.

It went to the dune edge.

It was tied around a scaffolding tube that had been hammered into the sand.

Some much so that its end was mushroomed.

Happy that the Buoy was secured, Beach Buoy went to Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Afternoon Mate."

It was 3-35.

Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

He sat on the driftwood plank with an elevated view.

Like a weeble he wobbled in the wind.
"See you mate."
They returned to the beach below.

Team Muzzled Dog were heading south on their afternoon walk.
The said that they had seen a Port Vehicle in the car park yesterday.
Perhaps it was them that fastened the rope to the chain and stopped the light flashing to save confusion out at sea?

Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south.

Someone had written in the sand.
ARCHIE HURD JONES I'M 7

Ghostfishing Gear.

Beach Buoy dragged it back to the Esplanade.

BEACH BUOY.
