2 JAN 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 Friday afternoon.

Beach Buoy had parked in Seaton Park Car Park.

He went alone.

It was a step it out, walk.

He accessed the beach via the ramp near the beach huts.

The high tide had just turned.
The sea was rough.

There was a light but cold breeze from the north east.
Two hoods were up.
Sunglasses and gloves were on.
Although he loves the beach interactions, this afternoon he would gladly walk to Stubborn Dog Stack and back alone.

He collected five suitable stones.

A bird ran to and from the sea.

Along the water's edge.

A hint of rainbow colours came and went out on the horizon.
It wasn't keen to be photographed.

The sky out at sea seemed to be full of snow.
It all looked very dramatic.

Beach Buoy passed a large and long dead Seal.
The tide was still well in.
It had quite a run on it.
Beach Buoy decided to access the dunes via the Big Slope.
He hadn't taken that route for quite a while.

Once up at the top of the big slope, Beach Buoy could see the Crow's giant pencil at Stubborn Dog Stack.

To the north, waves crashed over the Heugh Pier.

The Sun that had coloured the passing snow clouds was off to bed.

3-37.
"Afternoon Mate."
Beach Buoy added the second set of five suitable stones of the day.
He patted
THE
stone.

The Sun had dropped out of sight.

"See you mate."
He headed back.

The drama seemed to be heading south thankfully.

Flocks of Gulls headed out to sea.
Beach Buoy wondered how they would be able to raft on such a rough sea?

Back along the dunes to the Big Slope once more.

Along the water's edge.
The beach was wider now.

High and rough seas had left beach-trapped water.

As Beach Buoy left the beach, the Village Church Bells rang for 4-15 p.m.
It was still light.
Others walked the water's edge.

BEACH BUOY.
