Thursday morning.
Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog had parked up in Seaton Park.
It's free and no two hour parking disc is required just yet.
A light breeze was blowing from the west.
Team One Black Ear were heading from the south.
This was unusual.
The Village Church Bells rang for 8-30
Beach Buoy and the dogs went down the access ramp that was just in front of the Beach Huts.
He chatted to Team One Black Ear.
They were leaving.
Today's walk was to the north to avoid a roll on a dead bird situation.
Beach Buoy and the dogs headed towards the wreck.
The tide was way out.
A man ran from the sea.
Beach Buoy and the dogs walked towards it.
He collected five suitable stones.
A photographer was down by the wreck.
He had a tripod set up.
Possibly going for a long exposure and the effects that it gives?
Beach Buoy goes for exposure of a different kind.
He took the photograph above.
It is on Historic England and Tees Archaeology Websites.
The one above, taken 24 October 2021 was the start of the die off controversy.
By the end of that day it was on the Northern Echo website.
Then the Press Association rang.
Beach Buoy gave them permission to use it.
It went on many big newspaper's websites.
A good while later, the New Scientist contacted Beach Buoy to ask if OK to use.
It was.
Other photographs appeared from nearby beaches that looked more dramatic and tragic.
Those were taken by others.
The Sea Serpent frolicked.
A Milky Sun appeared at 8-49.
They headed to the low level route.
"Morning Mate."
It was 9-05.
Beach Buoy added the five stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He had a stand and a think.
A lady and her two dogs crossed the Grey Rocks to reach the beach.
It looked like a no Crow day at Stubborn Dog Stack?
Beach Buoy took out the tub of seeds.
He shook them.
The sound attracted three Crows in total.
Only one was brave enough to stand on a giant pencil.
"See you mate."
He put some seed down on the sand.
They left.
Crows arrived.
Then Sun tried to break through.
The photographer was still down at the wreck.
The tide was coming back in.
Beach Buoy and the dogs headed to the access ramp once more.
BEACH BUOY.
